A simple search of the Whitehouse.gov site of the phrase "stay the course," results in 33879 matches (http://www.whitehouse.gov/query.html?col=colpics&qt=stay+the+course).

Despite Tony Snow's ridiculous statement to, of course, Foxnews that, "Well sure, to be fair, the President did say "Stay the Course" eight times," there are documented official Whitehouse transcripts that reveal the President used the phrase hundreds of times and staff, administration and GOP politicians said the term thousands of times during the last 3 years.

A look at only statements made by the president going back to 2002 shows that there were rarely speeches made by him that didn't include the "stay the course" mantra. These are only the Whitehouse's official press conferences and transcripts of events which skip months of speeches and statements by the president. Private fundraisers and stump speeches would add hundreds, if not thousands, more attributions to the president.

Do Bush, Rove and Tony Snow think Americans are that stupid?

Frankly, after the first 50 of several thousand pages, I grew tired of cutting and pasting.

Here, in no particular order, are 25 examples of Bush using the phrase. Maybe Tony Snow, like Bush, hasn't quite figured out "the Google".
