Why Freepers LOVE to bully people they see as victims |
|
1. They have no empathy for people who aren't like them.
2. They're cowards who can only beat up on people they don't think can fight back.
3. Freepers settle their cognitive dissonance by telling themselves that the reason they don't help people who are less fortunate, is because the less fortunate have brought their ill fortune on themselves, and they don't deserve their help.
To them, everyone is "faking it". The homeless vet on the street could get a job if he really wanted it. That person who takes meds for depression could really get over it if they wanted to. That girl who got raped really could've avoided it if she didn't secretly want it to happen. Those people in New Orleans could've gotten out if they didn't want to stay behind and loot.
That's what they tell themselves to rationalize their selfish, tunnel vision, worldview.
They HATE anybody that reminds them that life is bigger than us, and that good people suffer all the time. It pokes a giant hole in everything they believe in. It makes them feel guilty, just for a split second, before they find the reason that they shouldn't feel guilty "It's ok. They asked for it. They're faking it."

How anybody old enough to reason can still believe that, I don't know.

are god fearing patriotic country loving Americans who just can't go on down to the recruiting station and join the Army when their country needs them. They have incredible "other priorities." And they'd rather help America over here then over there.

in a world they can not understand ,and they fear the changes . Members of my family tell me they are Republicans because our daddy was a Republican . One of my sisters recently asked me "how did you ever get in this family?" They want everything to stay the same as it was (in their minds) 50 --60 years ago
But it never was really like they remember it ---I know, because I was there
I love their little Republican souls though , because they are my family , and push come to shove we would die for each other
