Troops Appeal for Redress up to 350! : Kucinich Announces Support
Early last night, 350 servicemen and women had signed the appeal, according to organizers.

Congressman Kucinich, a long time defender of the military in Iraq, is the first to speak out in support of their efforts…

“No one speaks with more moral authority or understanding of the complexity of Iraq then the brave men and women who serve in our Armed Forces and who have done tours of duty in Iraq. The men and women who have joined this effort have demonstrated courage and bravery and represent the very best of our nation.
“These soldiers cut through the political spin and false rhetoric to deliver a stark and important message: It is time to end the war in Iraq and bring our troops home with the honor and dignity they deserve.
“I am proud to stand with the courageous men and women of Appeal for Redress and will continue my efforts to end the grave misadventure in Iraq and bring all our troops home.”

2. This man should be president!
not Obama, Hillary, Kerry, Edwards....

the presidency is not a popularity contest! Our next president should be a person who stands up for what is right and good, whether or not it is popular at the time. Our next democratic president should be someone who we can feel proud of, someone who has stood up for democratic ideals every step of the way. Kucinich is that person. He led the effort to prevent the war in Iraq, amd has since led the effort to bring the troops home. He is the one leading the effort to prevent a war in Iran. He is the one who has introduced legislation for hand counted ballots, counted and posted at precincts! He is the one politician who has made me proud to be a democrat!

Now how do we get the rest of congress to stand up with Dennis and demand the troops are brought home...like they are so nicely asking...enough is enough!

6. Would a Clark/Kucinich ticket be acceptable?

Clark = foreign policy

Kucinich = domestic policy

wow, that would be really cool if Clark spoke out in support as well. We need everyone to unite behind the troops- for the troops! These heroes sign up to defend our country and they have been abused badly by this evil administration. It is our job to stand up for them now.

3. This list is growing folks!!!!
Thanks to DUers and bloggers for truth everywhere...the American people are now convinced that Iraq is a disaster...

We have tried appealing to congress to do something but they are all controlled by AIPAC...but when the military says it that's another story because they lose their whole 'that would demoralize the troops' argument. The troops no longer want to stay to avenge the deaths of the other troops who should never have been there in the first place. I know that the homeward Bound Act had many cosponsors, and the out of Iraq caucus has many members....now is the time to push the others!

An open revolt of the military is the best way to end the war in Iraq and prevent a war in Iran.

I guess I am the only one excited that this movement is growing?????
