So the White House won't release the Abramoff photos...
...citing "irrelevancy."
JANUARY 24 2005

Several White House officials have been briefed about pictures of President Bush and Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff taken since 2001 but will not release them on grounds that they are not relevant to the ongoing money-for-favors investigation, aides said yesterday.

Not like the good old days eh?

JUNE 4 2001

Four months after Republicans first accused outgoing Clinton staffers of vandalizing government offices, the White House has provided photos of messy offices as proof.

Still locked in a spin-control battle with Clinton staffers over what happened in the final hours of the former president's term, the Bush White House has handed out photos taken shortly after the handover.

The photo at left, of an office in the White House counsel's suite at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, also known as the Old Executive Office Building, where many White House staffers work. It clearly shows disarray, with boxes, books, office supplies and papers piled about haphazardly. There does not, however, appear to be evidence in the photo of outright vandalism.

(Incidentally, I was amused to discover that Harriet Miers was in charge of the "porn bomb" investigation...)

2. The pics will soon see the light of day, one way or another...

Their first act in office was to attack the previous administration for something that never happened (like they hadn't done enough to him already...:grr) - that speaks volumes about how they would ultimately govern, doesn't it?:grr:

3. I'd suggest a FOIA request if BushCo wasn't above the law
Case in point, where are the FOIA requested Abu Gharib photos? Last I heard the judge ordered the release of the photos.

4. jr doesn't trust the public to draw their own conclusions about the photos

He made it sound as though the photos are evidence in a criminal investigation. Somebody should have asked him if this indeed is the case.

7. One of the main problems for Bush is his nickname for Abramoff.
He always calls him "Paydirt".

9. Actually the phone logs to the WH would be more telling.
The MSM is already downplaying any photos as merely 'grin and shake' pics. Get the phone logs; how many times a day does this guy call the WH ? Were they laundering money to be used in covert intelligence ops, without Congressional approval (like hey, that's unconstitutional).
