Why worry about the republican base voting against impeachment?
...this whole argument that the Dems need to play small, not talk about impeachment because it might motivate the republicans??

WTF?

all they have left is the backwash! Who the hell cares if they vote?

Speaking of Impeachment will motivate the voters who have had it with the democrats who don't seem motivated toward accountability, who have don't nothing to stop Bush. ALOT of democratic voters are sick of the democratic politicians for being so wimpy.

Speaking of Impeachment will motivate the Republicans, who believe it or not, are sick of the blatant corruption and would vote for democrats if they had a backbone. Many Republicans give as the only excuse for voting for Bush again....John Kerry...he was just so awful they had to vote for Bush....but since the 'election' they have figured out just how corrupt this administration and their cronies are, they just don't know what to do about it. If the sane Republicans were given the option to bring about accountability by voting for a democratic candidate, they just might do that. NO ONE will be motivated to go to the polls to save Bush from accountability. That is complete BS!!!

2. Polls show that independents and many dems
Want the dem congress to address issues, and worry about payback later. Just for instance, I just got a raise two months ago. But my latest check is $21 less than my check before my raise. Our insurance carrier unilaterally hiked its rates by 30 percent. I want Bush impeached and jailed, but I also want the issues addressed FAST>

4. It's not about payback, it's about upholding our constitution
...you know the ole 'piece of paper' they were all sworn to uphold???

If we let Bush continue, the issues will be his issues, he and Karl control the debate.

If the dems cannot stand up now, what makes you think they will if they are in the majority? They will most likely continue to enable Bush. No one has forced the dems to vote with Bush and his cronies...but they do, and we just let them blaming their minority status.

the only way to hold Bush accountable if for us to start holding our own party accountable and forcing them to do the right thing.

The Iran Freedom Support Act passed the house with only 21 dems voting against it....
