"Recipe for a Cooked Election" by Palast
Read about the Native Indian votes/"non-votes".

I hope that these last two presidential election results can be analyzed and an opinion come out, once and for all time. These numbers are not coincidence...they were definitely cooked...had to be.

1. 12 Days Away,,, What Do We Do Today???
I personally took my absentee ballots into the Supervisor of Elections in The District of Cruella... Sarasota County.

I have never thought she won last time out, didn't think the Idiot won in either 2000 OR 2004, but we STILL don't have a paper trail here. What we did get was a measure put on the ballot to VOTE for a paper trail. How then am I to recruit others to vote when this stuff is going on.

In counties like mine, where we actually had to go to court after we had the petitions signed to make sure we could get the measure on the ballot, it seems almost IMPOSSIBLE to make ANY difference. Will my absentee be counted this time?? I don't know, I have heard several time that it won't, but ES&S supplied our machines so is it all just FUTILE??

Several people who control the elections here are not "on my side" I know for sure. Kathy Dent, the current Supervisor is as bad or worse than Katherine Harris. She has stated outright that she DOES NOT want a paper trail and will and has fought it every step of the way!

Gee, ain't Democracy a FANTASTIC idea???

2. When the ballots are counted and/or rejected...
is there a representative from both parties auditing the process?

3. Good Question... I Actually Don't Know
In THIS county I ALWAYS wonder. I will make a phone call or two and thanks for the "heads-up!"

I've been campaigning a lot locally and Jennings SEEMS to be ahead, which is HUGE here... BUT I just never asked the question because others around me wonder the same thing.

The campaign manager for David Shapiro, running for the state senate was even down in the dumps this past week-end as we were sitting together at a booth. So, I actually DO wonder. Seems SHE would have a better clue than I!

Going to call my local where I volunteer at.

Thanks again.
