GOP will add $3.5 million in NJ to try and defeat Menendez
It should be noted that Bob Menendez has been the most endangered Democrat running for the Senate--in a very close race with Tom Kean. He has been the most endangered for some time and not due to the decision of the NJ Supreme Court.

I'm somewhat worried about this seat because NJ is supposed to be a blue seat and he is the incumbent but charges of corruption have long surrounded Menendez, and if this is truly a "Throw the bums out" election with a large distaste for corruption or charges of corruption, I think Menendez may be in trouble.

Furthermore, there are many undecideds in the race, and undecideds usually go with the challenger 2-1.

How do NJ DUers see this race? are you worried about Menendez or do you think he will win in the end?

(I got the information about the GOP adding $3.5 million to support Kean from today's ABC News the Note).

I think Menendez is going to win. The margin was widening last I saw.

2. The RNC would have to sink to a historic new low to get this
seat. They tried with Doug Forrester against Jon Corzine and failed. They tried the corruption card with Corzine too, even hoisted out his ex-wife to tell NJ how "undependable" he was.

3. .
I have the feeling that Menendez did good the last weeks. He's fighting for the seat and he apparently used the right strategy.
He was trailing some weeks ago but the last polls showed him leading out of the margin of error.

If this race is considered to belong to those described as toss-ups, then it's the race that is most likely going to the Dems from that category, I'd say.
