I seem to remember Katherine Hepburn laying the Parkinson rumors to rest.

As you said, a familial tremor is benign, but I have a friend who has this and it has gotton progressively worse as she's aged, though part of her problem with it is that the medication that can help control the shaking doesn't mix with something else she's on that's more critical for her health. It's benign, but it's still a pain in the butt for her.

other than to exploit the controversy for ratings. But as it turns out at the end of the broadcast she mentioned for full disclosure, her dad also had Parkinson's and she has donated to the Michael J. Fox charity.
