7. Andy was a DU'er who died last year...
He was a beloved activist who got under a lot of freepers skin. When he announced he was sick we had a fundraiser for him and the freeps posted that it was all bogus. It's wasn't.... and he passed away. It was one of the most shameful things I've ever witnessed.

so they do that kind of shit instead. Makes 'em feel like they are getting away with something, like their fathers used to feel when they raped them.

13. It's not who they are. It's who gives them a BIG TRUMPET to promulgate
their nasty minority views way out of proportion to their numbers, that is the real problem. We've always had cretins among us, and witch-burners and various religious nutballs. Thomas Jefferson thought he had taken care of their potential for poisoning society and seizing power, with guarantees of a free press and free speech--wide open political dialogue where the best ideas rise and the worst die out, and no government religion. But he failed to provide sufficient protection against corporate monopolies and the rise of super-rich fascist elites who always use rightwing religion to oppress the poor.

And we can't get at THEM--the war profiteering corporate news monopolies--until we restore TRANSPARENT elections.

Have faith in the American people. These low-minded bigots are a tiny minority who do not merit the platform they have been given, and who serve a rightwing fascist elite who are out to degrade our democracy, our country and our progressive views. Look who they put up there as their puppet president. Bush is an insult to the American people--a very deliberate insult, in my opinion. We must rise above these insults and reclaim our country, first of all my reclaiming our election system, and, after we do that, busting every one of these news monopolies, and a few other bad actor corporations.

Bush doesn't represent us. His dirtbag "commentators" and Congressional "pod people" don't represent us. Never believe it! The American people are better than this. And the 5 billionaire rightwing CEOs who control all news and opinion are deliberately out to demean, marginalize, demoralize and disempower the overwhelmingly progressive majority. Don't get freaked. Get power! The power to dismantle their financial machines; the power of the "Fairness Doctrine" and open political debate. The power of the People! Our vote!

I think it's a fight we can win. Ordinary people are protesting these corporate-controlled voting machines, by a massive increase in Absentee Ballot voting this year. This tells that they KNOW--they've identified the problem. And they're with us. I think the local/state jurisdictions are the most feasible places to win it. Let's get it done! Whatever happens in this election, NON-TRANSPARENT vote counting cannot be allowed to stand.

That's why we have cretins on TV.
