Managua, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) Amid astonishment verging on indignation, Nicaraguans have rejected a US warning on possible outbreaks of violence during the November 5 elections in that country.

"What the hell is the US plotting against the elections?" La Primerisima radio station wondered Wednesday, commenting on a news item from Washington.

According to the radio station, the White House is plotting "something"

to ruin what is expected to be a "sweeping overthrow" of the rightwing in the coming presidential and legislative elections.

The president of the Electoral Supreme Court, Roberto Rivas, made similar remarks, adding a plot to cause instability might lay behind the warning.
