10. Great Ad, But I Screwed Up My Rating, Help! |
|
Ava's ad is very, very powerful. Much to my dismay, as I went to rate it a 5, my hand slipped and I rated it a 2. Is there anyway to change my YouTube rating?

9. "and our grateful nation will do everything it can to help them recover." |

That's right, and a damn good start would be to get rid of Republicans who obstruct compassionate justice for our troops.
Most excellent, Ava, as always. :patriot:

11. Thank you so much, Ava dear... |

...you are a gem, and (as always,) your work brings a lump to my throat.
How our government treats the young men and women we send to get their asses shot off is one of the issues that has me bouncing between "apoplectic with rage," and "numb with despair."
One of the reasons we should never, EVER, ever go to war except when there is a patently, uncontestably, incontrovertably immediate threat to the safety of our nation is this very issue. When we ask young people to volunteer to go into harm's way for all of us, all of us become responsible for the consequences when they sacrifice life or health or sanity on our behalf. Our veterans, especially those hurt on active duty in combat areas, deserve nothing but the best and most complete health care we can render them, not to mention generous compensation to their families and dependents when they give their lives or limbs or senses in our service. If we are not completely prepared to pay that cost, in full and with becoming gratitude, then the reason to go to war is not compelling enough, and we shouldn't go. PERIOD.
It makes me simply CURDLE with shame when I see how our government is treating those who sacrifice for me.
I was taught to ALWAYS render value for value received, to pay in full for what I need, and to forego whatever I couldn't afford or was unwilling to pay for. Cheapassing the men and women who put their lives at stake for our nation is beyond sleazy, beyond low. I can't think of any words bad enough to describe it.
Thank you for bringing this so powerfully to our attention.
appreciatively, Bright
