Israeli says man admitted Hamas ties

An Israeli security agent told a courtroom cleared of spectators Thursday how a suburban Chicago grocer admitted under days of questioning that he had met secretly with Palestinian terrorist leaders. snip

Salah says that the admissions were tortured out of him.

By contrast Nadav testified he built a close rapport with Salah and that the two men ate salad and drank tea together between questionings.

Salah's attorneys maintain that Israel's Shin Bet security service, of which Nadav is a member, used a so-called good-cop, bad-cop technique. They say Nadav was the so-called good cop. AP
