It's a potentially effective message, refuting empty Bush Administration spin. But an Internet-only campaign will never have the impact of a broad television campaign. Why not run the ad in key districts nationwide?

I'm not saying you shouldnt give- I am just saying that this is all this ad is for- to get you to think they are fighting harder than they really are.

The idea is that DEM net-roots people will stumble across the ad and say to themselves "gosh- the DEMS are really fighting this time- they must have learned their lessons- this pumps me up and I'm going to fight as hard as they are..." type thing.

Ironically, they would get this reaction from us 100-fold and w/o deception if they would muster up the guts to AIR the damn thing.

Problem is, if "red meat" is pictured on the menu but not actually served from the kitchen, it does us no good.

6. Great ad

Dems need one more great ad for the last week. It must point out that while the Rethugs scream terra, terra, terra to make everyone afraid, it is they who are afraid of a Democratic victory which will be a victory for oversight, accountability, uniting the country etc.
They are afraid of investigations; they are afraid of the peole. Go Dems.

Why is all the most pointed, tough attacks always "for donors eyes only"?

Same thing with quotes from the leadership- when it is text on the web, emails or CSPAN3 at 10:00AM, they are tough and pointed. When they go on the shows, they hardly EVER say that tough stuff.

I think swingvoters would respond to these ads.

I wish our DEM "leaders" were not too frightened to show this to everyone, not just the donor-base/choir/net-roots crowd who already knows this stuff.
