Is it Legal to videotape your use of voting machine to cast your vote? |
|
Just wondering if there are laws against using a camera phone or small videocamera to document your voting experience. If you could do that, it would be best evidence of failure of machine.
There are videocams that fit in your pocket like a giant ink pin that you could take into the voting booth with you, and likely would be unnoticed by poll watchers.
Anyone know?

The reason is that it could enable vote selling by providing proof of how you voted. If you're thinking about doing this, please check the law in your state first.

3. Not sure how it would help. |

How are you going to correlate the screen image with the bits electronically tabulated out the other end?

I sure hope that if we do manage to pull this off that that scary Nancy Pelosi has transparent voting on her 100 hours. Paper ballots!
