WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on Secretary Rumsfeld's comments yesterday advising Americans to just "relax" about the deteriorating situation in Iraq:

"Americans concerned by the obvious failure of President Bush's Iraq policy, the rapidly increasing numbers of U.S. casualties, and the escalating levels of sectarian violence deserve more from Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld than to be told to 'relax'.

"Secretary Rumsfeld committed our troops to war without sufficient equipment or a plan for victory; he is in no position to give advice to Americans appalled by the consequences of his mismanagement. Our troops and every American deserve more. It is long past time for a new direction in Iraq."

3. Because that's what they are brainwashed into believing.
That's what basic training is for. That's why they want 18 year olds to enlist. They tried to convince us that Nixon was next to God. Fortunately, we eventually begin to use our own minds.
