DU---WE HAVE GOT TO HELP THIS GUY...THIS IS OUR ROCKY !
Does everyone know how incredible this is? This is OUR Rocky of politics and the Cinderella story all rolled up into one

Clint Curtis was a plain old good guy American citizen that was working as a programmer in Florida and was approached by his boss to write software that would pre-determine votes on a touchscreen voting machine.

Clint thought they must want it to be able to recognize attempted vote fraud so they would be able to thwart it. After Clint designed the software, which was easy for him, he commented on what he thought was the motivation and what to look out for. His boss then told him no, we want you to write it so we can flip votes for the Feeney election. Clint was stunned.

It enraged him so much, he started on a campaign to actually become a candidate and challenge Tom Feeney for his district seat in the House of Representatives. His story was picked up by BradBlog's Brad Friedman and his story gained more notoriety. He then actually testified before a congressional committee telling his story and explaining how easily the touchscreen machine could be hacked and testified under oath that Tom Feeney had asked him to deliberately rig votes for him.

Clint easily won the primary. He blew away his competition. Now, Zogby has just released a poll that says he is in a dead heat for winning the election. Clint has done this with almost NO MONEY and he is about to unseat one of the most powerful republicans and slimiest slime balls in congress. He has had a literal army of volunteers come forward for him and they are doing this without any pay.

Clint was on the Guy James show yesterday and said that not only does the Zogby poll have him even, his internal polling shows that ten percent of the republicans are defecting to vote for him and the independents are overwhelmingly supporting him. He says his poll indicates he is actually two points ahead !!!!!

He said Feeney has about $500,000 dollars left and he has $20,000.

DU ....... WE HAVE TO HELP THIS GUY. THIS IS AN ELECTION FRAUD WHISTLEBLOWER THAT WILL BE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES !!!!

Do you know what this will mean to help eliminate Diebold touchscreen fraud and insure a fair election for 2008?

Not only that, Clint was formerly a republican and passed a lie detector test showing that he was telling the truth about Feeney. He has been dogging Feeney all over the state with this and asking Feeney why he won't take a lie detector test. This is killing Feeney.

If you have only $5.00, send it to him. This could be the biggest upset in political history.

Here are links to his website and the full story of this Democratic miracle story we can help make possible. Please let's make this happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. This may sound a bit dumb, but, if heeasily wrote a program to
flip votes, why not just write it to flip them to the Dem?

Yes, I know it's illegal, and wrong, but if the Pubs really are intending to do this, the programmer really is the STAR here.

The other thing is, if he has proof of this request, why not contact the authorities? That's voter fraud in it's purest form!

8. No - no stooping to their level - the history of election fraud
in the U.S. is one long series of "pre-emptive strikes" -- the Pubicans cheat because they KNOW the Dems are going to cheat so they deserve to 'steal those votes back' and the Dems cheat because the KNOW the Pubicans are going to cheat so they deserve to 'steal those votes back' and so it goes, on and on and on and on and on....

BASTA! ENOUGH!

Also - he has contacted the authorities - who don't want to do anything about it given that his accusations are directed at a sitting U.S. Congressman -> Feeney.

This story was spiked by every major amerikan media corporation, but was all over the European News and the internet.

you should go to www.bradblog.com Clint's whole story is there - believe Brad started reporting it in December 2004. It is a fascinating and scary story which includes and investigator ending up suicided in a hotel in Valdosta GA - actually Clint is damn brave to take on these freaks.

As for the voting machines - I don't know what the answer to that is

Interesting just looked at Clint's web site and Zogby has a poll with Fenney at 45% and Clint at 43% makes me want to send him some more money and make some more phone calls which is what I will do.....oh I'd be a happy girl if Tom Feeney was no longer my Member of Congress.....

I got to know Clint pretty well while preparing for and co-presenting "E-Voting for Dummies" at the Portland Summit to Save Our Elections last year. Clint is smart, honest, humorous, and is completely committed to regaining our Democracy, recovering our rights, changing the direction of our foreign policy including getting out of Iraq, and restoring our election processes to citizen control from the hands of partisan politicians and corporations.

If you care about any of these things, cough up the dough and help Clint beat Feeney.

be a Congressman? I'd like someone in office who can do the JOB myself.

As for the code scene, it's trivial, anyone COULD have written that, and probably did, and to make this guy some kind of hero for saying that someone COULD when hundreds already have, Including guys like AVI RUBIN, Mark Crispin Miller, etc, is just silly.

He's had more than his 15 minutes and should go get a real job.

Sorry to be so honest, but he's all some people have as some kind of icon to keep pushing their egoistic ventures that use Voter Fraud as a vehicle, and there's better to be had out there. I'm more than concerned that what little he had going for him may be bullshit at this juncture.

But believe what you want, there's more than enough to go around in the circle jerk club of Electronic Voting Fraud, which has MORE than it's OWN SHARE OF FRAUDS :)

Thanks Fredda, it needed to be said...

56. " does this guy even have qualifications" sounds as if you prefer repug Feeney
http://www.clintcurtis.com/pressreleases.htm#flipper

Mr. Curtis’s polygraph-supported testimony has already led to one conviction in an espionage case and sparked several investigations by law enforcement. The case of Mr. Feeney, singled out as one of the “13 Most Corrupt Members of Congress” by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), has received little media attention. Nor have his statements regarding being hired by Mr. Feeney, during the time he was an elected Florida Representative, working at Yang Enterprises, to design the vote flipping software. So, Mr. Curtis has decided to challenge Feeney’s power right at the source; in his personally-redrawn congressional district.

Nice little right wing tactic, accuse the person with an opinion of supporting SATAN..

Real cute, please keep posting, the insults are hilarious.

Maybe I should answer a question with a question in about the same shrill nonlogical vein, "SO. I suppose you PREFER Velveeta to Knockwurst? I KNEW IT!"

No, that would be stupid.

Maybe you should realize who you are talking to before you spew insults - I've done NOTHING BUT Support Democrats for 6 YEARS at the cost of Hundreds of thousands of dollars, won a Hollywood award for my work, was one of 14 finalists in the MoveOn "Bush in 30 Seconds" out of 1600 entries, have appeared on O'Reilly's show once (when my site was Boycotting Limbaugh VERY EFFECTIVELY) and Scarborough TWICE, where he threatened to turn off my microphone..

And that's just the TIP of the iceberg as far as my WORK, also spent a year making a FILM about Electric Voter Fraud, interviewing many Politicians, Movie and radio stars, and EXPERTS in the Field..

So if you don't know who you're talking to then ASK, or sit very still while the Adults do their JOB.

You must have had a nasty moment when you responded to my post. I was not too far off in my question, as you stated "To be honest I would vote for neither.""

What qualifications did my 3rd term Dem Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy have other than her anti gun stance and her personal connection to the Long Island Railroad train shooting. She got a lot of mileage out of that issue , all the way to congress. Her family "happened to be in the right place at the right time?"

She sounds as if she would be another dem you might have not voted for?
While I appreciate all you stated you have done for the Dem's, If you continue to have these insulting outbursts then PLEASE, sit very still while the Adults do their JOB

It could also be said about all our elected officials that they "happened to be in the right place at the right time? "

what does a dem seat mean even if it's Curtis that holds it:

if we take back power, the following will happen:

- At least 9 Congressional Progressive Caucus Members would become Committee Chairmen or Chairwomen
- An additional 35 Congressional Progressive Caucus Members would become Subcommittee Chairmen or Chairwomen.

The following Progressive Caucus Members would become Committee Chairs:

- Congressman George Miller, Chairman of Education and Workforce Committee
- Congressman Barney Frank, Chairman of Financial Services
- Congressman Henry Waxman, Chairman of Government Reform
- Congressman Bennie Thompson, Chairman of Homeland Security Committee
- Congressman Tom Lantos, Chairman of International Relations Committee
- Congressman John Conyers, Chairman of Judiciary Committee
- Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, Chairwoman of Rules Committee
- Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, Chairwoman of Small Business Committee
- Congressman Charles Rangel, Chairman of Ways and Means Committee

The following Progressive Caucus Members would become Subcommittee Chairs:

- Appropriations Subcommittees -- Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro and Marcy Kaptur and Congressmen John Olver, Jose Serrano, and Ed Pastor
- Armed Services Subcommittee, Congressman Neil Abercrombie
- Education and Workforce Subcommittees, Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey and Congressman Dennis Kucinich
- Energy and Commerce Subcommittees, Congressman Ed Markey and Congresswomen Jan Schakowsky and Hilda Solis
- Financial Services Subcommittee, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Congressman Luis Gutierrez
- Government Reform Subcommittees, Congresswoman Diane Watson and Congressmen Dennis Kucinich, Elijah Cummings, Danny Davis of Illinois, and William "Lacy" Clay
- International Relations Subcommittee, Congressman Donald Payne
- Judiciary Subcommittees, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee and Congressmen Jerry Nadler and Melvin Watt
- Interior Subcommittees, Congressmen Raul Grijalva and Tom Udall and Congresswoman Donna Christensen
- Rules Subcommittees, Congressman Jim McGovern
- Small Business Subcommittees, Congresswomen Madeleine Bordallo
- Transportation and Infrastructure, DeFazio, Filner, Holmes-Norton, and C. Brown
- Ways and Means Subcommittees, Congressmen Pete Stark, Jim McDermott, and John Lewis of Georgia

we will take back all these Committees and Subcommittees, eh?

But if he LOSES then NONE of this will happen? No, of course you've already placed the disclaimer within your "proof":

"what does a dem seat mean even if it's Curtis that holds it:

if we take back power, the following will happen:"

I suppose you support LIEberman as well, given this logic?

Please.

No doubt he's a nice man, and I believe in a lot of the things posted here ala Wikipedia (which I don't consider a valid source since anyone with a lot of friends can have Wikipedia make them a Harvard Man, sorry), BUT, this does NOT give him any credentials.. my wife was showing me how she could write the same code LONG before Clint fell into a pile of shit and had those who want to use him as an insertion point spraying him with ROSE WATER..

OTHER DEMS can do THIS, IF a placeholder Dem is Inserted HERE. He Believes in Alternative Fuel NOW, and that WILL reduce energy dependence by 70%?

C'mon, ALL CONJECTURE. TO claim it is some kind of Proof is patently dishonest, think about that. (and I am not attacking my Wikipedia posting pal here, far from it, just pointing out that beliefs are not proof either, no attack there)

Just because someone is catapaulting his image to further their website and ego, does not a Congressman make. But you are all grown up now and so very welcome to your opinion as is anyone else, I fought for that right when I enlisted during Nam in 1971.

So go nuts, but by the way, I ALSO FOUGHT for the RIGHT to disagree. Try to remember that.

I think the guy's a nice guy, but also a joke. Once again ego driven websites trying to grassroot themselves into power, and some of the Fraud movement is BASED on FRAUD itself.

Once again, anyone who is pals with or quotes Bev Harris or pumps disinfo gets NOTHING from me. Vote for whoever you want, it's still almost a free country.

60. yo, symbolman...
please, it's ELECTION fraud... definately NOT VOTER fraud. Words are important. They have context and meaning... and some used together have the power to elicit emotion. When i hear the phrase "voter fraud", it elicits a strong emotion from me. That of Anger. Please be conscious...

Who would you vote for in that district?

61. Good point
I'll remember that.

To be honest I would vote for neither.

Some folks I just cannot hold my nose and vote for. There's been a Hero status accorded to Curtis that is tangled up in so much self promotion by others as to make it stink to me.

Too much FRAUD within the ranks of those who act as tho they are going to save us from FRAUD. People like Bev Harris being bandied about AT ALL. Anyone who promotes HER is either too ignorant and can't recognize Fraud when they see it, or are accepting her to promote themselves. I don't think HBO has done their homework re: Harris, and it may end up biting the WHole Movement in the ass with Horrifying ramifications.

Have you read any links about why she was kicked off of this board, others, and laughed off of many others, taking up with the Freepers on top it all?

Either way it's intolerable, and if the left holds people like that up as examples they've already lost.

Sorry, just an opinion in what's left of a free country.

But I'm glad for the point taken on the Election Fraud, thanks :)

67. Hey Symbolman
I've been thinking about this a little bit. I am not sure about the election fraud charge. There seems to be a mixed bag on that. But I looked up Curtis' platform on wikipedia and this made all the difference to me. I am not in FL, but if I were, Curtis would have my vote, with or without charges of fraud against his opponent.

According to the Curtis campaign, Curtis supports:

Requiring a paper ballot (as the official document of record) so that voters know their vote counts, regardless of the type of voting system used.

Revitalizing NASA and returning America to a position of strength, both militarily and scientifically.

Protecting Social Security from being raided by special interest groups.

Providing Universal no-fault Health Care and eliminating the cost to business.

Ensuring that all shipments into the country are secured by Americans working for American companies.

The redeployment of our troops from Iraq to guard America’s borders and make America safer.

Achieving energy independence for America today, not 20 years from now. This will also reduce fuel costs by 70%.

Keeping jobs in America by requiring balanced trade and business incentives.

Restoring fiscal responsibility to our Budget.

More and more of them all the time. Thanks for picking up on this. Keep reminding DUers. Sometimes people need to be asked 3 or 4 times before they take action.

63. I sent Clint $100 last week. Keep the funds growing, folks, for a brave American.
Then visit www.eternalvigilance.us and watch the five clips there, (one featuring Clint and two of which include footage of yours truly).

Clint is a great guy and the model for what our future Congresspeople should look, sound and act like.

Kick ass, Clint. You've already taken the names.

69. I hate to always be the guy who rains on the parade...
but his district is just south of here, the NY times and the Florida Times Union (admittedly a right wing paper) has it as a "safe republican" seat. It would take an upset on the Rocky scale to defeat his repukican foe. but I wouldn't discourage donations, Howard Dean says fight for every seat and I agree, give freely and show these punks they aren't invincible, even in their jerrimanderd districts.

Be Vigilant.
