"IG: Halliburton Subsidiary Abused Rules"....No Kidding? I'm so SHOCKED!

IG: Halliburton Subsidiary Abused Rules
By ANNE PLUMMER FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer

<snip>
The special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction found that Halliburton's Kellogg, Brown & Root Services routinely marked all information it gave to the government as proprietary, whether it actually was or not. The government promises not to disclose proprietary data so a company's most valuable information is not divulged to its competitors.

By marking all information proprietary _ including such normally releasable data as labor rates _ the company abused federal regulations, the report says.

In effect, Kellogg, Brown & Root turned the regulations "into a mechanism to prevent the government from releasing normally transparent information, thus potentially hindering competition and oversight."<snip>

<snip>
"I'm convinced that this is the biggest waste, fraud and abuse in the history of this country," Dorgan said.<snip>

1. And here are (some of) the victims (so far) of their daily frauds:
Edited on Fri Oct-27-06 02:46 PM by Amonester
-> http://icasualties.org/oif
-> thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians
-> millions of American taxpayers, their kids, and grandchildren...
-> billions of human beings for they don't care about planet earth's resources drying-out.
-> same for animal and vegetal species (in short: life on earth).

Still need to get convinced here.... right! :sarcasm:

So what's their sentence? Under BushCo: Promotions... :crazy:

2. Exactly. Under the BFEE...a promotion, but under a DEM Senate,
they WILL PAY! He's held 13 oversight hearings on these thieves.

<snip>
Sen. Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, chairman of the Democratic Policy Committee, said that in 13 oversight hearings on the war in Iraq the committee found more than $1 billion in waste, fraud, abuse and what it called "shoddy work" by contractors.<snip>

5. Was Kellog Brown & Root one of the businesses in WTC? Did
they have people die?
