Boo Hooo...Bwaaaaa! I don't want to go to jail.

David Safavian, the former White House official convicted for lying to ethics officials and Senate investigators about his ties to Jack Abramoff, is up for sentencing today.

Newsflash! He doesn't want to go to jail. He actually wept while he asked the judge for leniency.

The problem, as the judge sees it, is that despite being convicted, Safavian has refused to admit any responsibility for his actions. He's not really guilty. He was duped! Just like Bob Ney.

3. I can see his reasoning
Only a couple of the RNC crooks are in jail, the majority of them are still on capital hill. Everyone in his party is doing what he was doing so why is he one of the few chosen to get a vacation behind bars.

9. Hell, Abramoff is in such fine voice they gave him a DESK at the FBI!
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/politics/whispers/articles/061022/30whisplead.htm

Jack Abramoff, the lobbying scandal figure, has become such a chatty rat that probe insiders say he's been given a desk to work at in the FBI. We're told he spends up to four hours a day detailing his shady business to agents eager to nail more congressmen in the scandal. And when cooperative witnesses spend that much time inside, they get a desk. As a result of his help in the ever expanding investigation, we hear that the Feds hope to keep him in a nearby prison after he's sentenced on his conspiracy admission.

4. I hope he sings like Sinatra
And brings a bunch of losers down with him.

All that belly-aching only serves to make me more angry.

5. He Might Want To Dry Up Those Tears Before He Gets To The Cell Block
The boys have interesting notions about guys who show up crying and how they should be treated, more or less immediately. That first night is going to be a real doozy for our teary-eyed friend.

7. Responsibility?
Since he is a member of the 'party of responsibility,' it means it's not his fault. Just like all the other members of his 'party.'

8. I don't think Martha Stewart cried
But these bloviating blowhards such as Cunningham and Safavian turn on the waterworks, these Right Wing bastards make me wanna puke..... I just want to see the Bug Man weeping. Did they get this strategy from Sleazy Televangelists such as Bakker and Swaggart?

11. Well, c'mon. It's not like he sold bongs over the internet or sex toys in Texas
or anything, like the REAL criminals do.

How can we have prison space for non-violent drug offenders like Willie Nelson if we keep locking these guys up?
