I don't even know if he will be sentenced to death. All I do know is the verdict is already in but the announcement was delayed until two days before the US midterms.

Nov. 5, Saddam gets the expected guilty finding and the death sentence. They've left the death sentence part out but it's a forgone conclusion. The timing is almost impecable.
