1. I think taking the Senate will be tough. But I hope.

3. Holy shit.
Even though this poll is still young, I'm shocked by the number of people that think we'll take House and Senate in a landslide. Some people are really setting themselves up for disappointment. I voted for the take the House/make gains in the Senate option.

20. Same here...
I want the Senate to be the one I'm surprised about positively, the House would be a disappointment if we didn't take control.

4. A stunning landslide for Dems.
If it is allowed...if it can break through the bull...if we work for it and fight for it.

6. Sorry, I just don't see a landslide.
I do believe the dems will pick up somewhere around 20 house seats to give us a razor thin majority there, but barring some really heinous repuke scandal, I can't see us taking the Senate. The good news is that even with a pick up of four Senate seats, giving us 49, we should be able to stave off any reactionary right wing judges.

7. You could really be correct here Cali. I just have a good feeling
about it, despite the very real facts about our Senate chances. I'm actually counting on voter's emotions helping to sweep the Senate. (or rather "take" the Senate for the Dems)

People are terribly worried and angry at the Repubs out here. But I realize that it is really a worthless projection, as it is all based on a hunch and emotion.

No need to be sorry! :hi:

11. Landslide!!!
Dems take 59 new seats in congress this election.

The Publicans are going down so hard it will be an earthquake. I have never had so many of them tell me they are not happy with their party. They are in worse shape than in the time right after Watergate.

I'm sorry, but the defeatist attitude of just 20 seats needs to be stricken from DU. 58 new seats at a minimum is our goal!

14. LOL
I get a kick out of your confidence, and hope you're right, but I wouldn't call projecting a gain of 20 seats in the House, defeatist.

15. I think we'll take the House
I see 50-50 in the Senate, as it's looking now. We'll pull off either Tennessee or Missouri, and NJ will narrowly stay Democratic.

19. I really think
it will be bigger than they're saying on tv. I think they're trying not to go overboard and get burned, but I bet their numbers are saying it's overboard.
