they all still wore

Beautiful caskets.



Beautiful caskets
holding beautiful
husks

of our
children
our
brothers
sisters, fathers and mothers.



The three thousand
won't ask
complain
or disparage

their reasons for wearing
these beautiful caskets.

the three thousand
rest softly
and listen

tell them they are in good company

and reasons
don't matter.



to those who don't breathe.

but they matter
those reasons

breath

let it matter.
