I can't believe this is happening
Edited on Fri Oct-27-06 06:35 PM by INdemo
There is no way the polls are changing this fast giving the Repubs a big boost all across the country..even the way these polls are being broadcast by the MSM is obvious they are front loaded...No way
There is not enough time left (10 days) to conduct a real scientific poll.
The polls being conducted now only have about 2-400 respondents and they are so full of wholes they're worthless.
Notice that since Rove made his prediction the polls have changed drastically changed..Imagine that....

1. Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money...
WHO is paying for those polls?

WHO benefits financially from those polls?

WHAT is the actual purpose of those polls?

6. That true and I agree....and this is so obvious
that these polls are fixed, front loaded,or whatever one wishes to call it but the fact that the media is all over this with smiles on their face...The one race in particular that got my attention was MT Senate race..No way Conrad burns can is tied with Tester

8. It is one poll and it is probably one outliar. If people would stop panicking when
they see one poll, we would be a lot better.

11. I think people should pay a lot less attention to polls in general
There is no such thing as a truly objective poll, for obvious reasons.

22. I don't pay attention to election polls
Or any other type of poll, to be honest. What percentage of the population will actually pick up their landline to answer a call from a stranger on any given evening and are those people representative of the population in general?

about.

Polls I have seen are basically the same I have seen for a while.

25. What I saw on hardball this race was tied and this
brought a big smile to Tweetie's face..I think the poll they used was an NBC/Gallop but Im not real sure..I checked several different polls later and found yes ..Tester was ahead..But other polls that are probably leaning right had this race tied among several other races that showed a big surge by Repukes but other polls were unchanged..This is my point, the Repukes are buying front loaded polls for propaganda purposes.

2. all about a plausible scenario for theft
but I think the republicans are so far behind they can;t even steal enough votes to maintain control.

Here is how they can usually get away with it:

Push the idea of a close race, track the early returns until about 6 PM, then they know how many votes they need to flip at the tabulato to take the election.

In this case they are going to be so far behind in early exit polls, that it won't be conceivable for them to pull the "last minute miracle" rouse.

that the election is going to be close, otherwise they couldn't sell it.

Why, just about every time I come to GD, I see there's a new reason to be concerned. It's all quite distressing.

24. After what's happened, I don't blame you for being worried
But I know the Repukes have concentrated money in a few states now and might be getting a bounce in those states. But whether the bounce will last is far from certain.
