Sen. Byrd, Alito will rule AGAINST Mineworkers and FOR Mine Deregulators
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 03:25 PM by blm
Is that what you really want?

His rulings are always FOR the corporate powers and against workers and consumers. The coalminers' cases will probably end up at the Supreme Court and you are voting for someone who will side with the powers AGAINST the coalmine workers.

Please rethink your vote, and think again the side you really want to take here.

1. My first thought as well.
Alito is a bad choice for THE PEOPLE of WV whether they realize it or not.

4. Maybe Rockefeller can speak to this publicly. Any WV DUers around to call
Rockefeller's office? They speak to constituents.

2. That's what kept running through my mind as I was reading about his
vote, and then went to watch the last part of his remarks. I think I'm still just stunned.

5. Byrd, you are either with the coal miners or you are against them.
The Bush administration has shown they are with the mining companies. How perfect that Byrd is supporting the "company man"--the name David Broder, dean of the Washington press corps, gave to none other than Samuel Alito.

Why oh why, Senator Byrd? Is the "social values"-the likely prospect that Alito will overturn Roe?
