Seriously - the cons had to put tape on the mouths of all their grassroots candidates. Doubtful they will be able to shut up all members of parliament during the year this minority government will be in power.
But they will try and look Canadian.
Also Cons in Canada rule from above. Canadian values for the last 150 years have been PEACE, Order & GOOD GOVERNMENT. Stephan Harper waved his magic want and remade Canadian values into: integrity, family, respect for work, achievement, and commitment to a strong and free Canada. He then announced that Canadian values are not about government or one social program.
So yeah - waving a magic wand and running up against traditional "norms" and sayings. With one fell swoop. Et Voilà!
So there are likenesses.
