For those who wish to Overnight a Letter to Sen Byrd....
311 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Senator Byrd indicated that he is impressed with the written word...and I have forgotten the accomplishment and sense of fulfillment one gets from writing with pen on paper. :hi:

3. Realize it won't get there overnight, no matter what.
All mail has to go through radiation first. Nothing gets to the Hill very quickly.

5. Telegram?
"A political message is a hand delivered message to a government official.
All attempts will be made to deliver the message the same day that it is ordered.
Should this not be possible, the message will be delivered the next day."

8. We Need To Send Byrd A Clear Message In Nov.
This is my first post a DU I am a very loooooooooooooooong time lurker; but I was so outraged today at Senator Byrd's actions - he is always talking about how important the constitution is but today he helped the right wing shred it to pieces. I think it is very very very important that we send Byrd a clear message in Nov. If we could get together some people to unseat Byrd and make sure that it is known that it was because of his actions. That would be great. I know probally not a lot of WV'ers on here but if we can spread the word and get people out and motivated I Think we could do it!

Down With Byrd in 06!

15. Mr Byrd may be crazy like a fox!
If I'm right, I think the filibuster may be on. I know it sounds crazy, but these are some extraordinary times and the PR game is in full swing on both sides 24/7.

19. I already did this. In his comments, Byrd had mentioned he was
extremely moved by the letters (actual letters) he received. This is why I also chose to do this.;
