27. Yes
You bet. One Dem leader after another seems to be losing his/her fear of standing up to the Son King.

9. They are speculating it's because he wants to run in 2008.
White House says it makes the democrats look bad. They feel they have 60 commitments to block a filibuster.

23. Proud to be a Lab...
* Is large and bouncy, with an enthusiastic attitude toward life
* Has a short easy-care coat in your choice of three colors
* Has a cheerful, tail-wagging nature
* Thrives on vigorous exercise and athletic activities
* Is steady-tempered and dependable with everyone
* Is peaceful with other animals
* Is eager to please and very responsive to training

A Labrador Retriever may be right for you.

Sounds like a true dem to me :)

22. It is about time...!
Hopefully he can change some minds...otherwise I 'm thinking he is doing this to give himself cover, knowing that cloture is a certainty. Who knows...

26. he has been wanting filibuster from beginning. now he is fighting
it in the public. he is being consistant. to trash him with no base is irresponsible.

28. Really...?
This is the first time I have heard him directly say that Alito should be filibustered. What is irresponsible is waiting to put up a fight until after 61 votes exist for cloture.
Kerry, because of his high profile, owes it to us to be out front form the beginning. Sorry he looks like a late comer to me. Call it irresponsible, but I call that being realistic.

29. it wasnt his place. he was trying to get the right person
to do it. but then you say he should be out fron. he is out front in many issues, about all our issues, and then he is attack constantly for that. so i would suggest maybe it is just knee jerk reaction to kerry and really doesnt matter what kerry does, the same people will find a way to bitch. and if you take it seriously to take power from repugs, then yes, the automatic attack is irresponsible

30. Kerry is the right person and he has always been...
I'm glad he is showing leadership now, but it would have been more helpful had he been doing this all along. A true leader would have owned this issue from the beginning, I'm just sick and tired of these senators neglecting the people who get them elected and then thinking that some last minute lip service is going to placate us.
If being reasonably skeptical is irresponsible then so be it...
I'm glad that you can be so optimistic, I have lost hope and don't know how much more of this I can handle.

Is it January 2009 yet...?

25. Are you ready to stand up for Kerry now that he stood up for you?
You know that he is going to get slammed from the media.

Are you ready to send those emails, make those calls, do whatever it takes to fight
the smear machine that is going to attack him?

I am!!!

kudos to blm
