If you want to protest the murder of Brad Will
The film journalist with Indy media, and also protest the Mexican Federal Police sent in by Vincent Fox marching into Oaxaca Mexico and killing protesters, here is a link you can go to to be felt.

1. A shameless kick to the top
Edited on Sun Oct-29-06 09:11 PM by Jose Diablo
Look, this is important, the people in Oaxaca by and large are poor and they have been under the thumbs of corporations and the wealthy for centuries. The teachers are organized and have been protesting the peoples conditions, in addition to the crooked election Mexico just had.

Now Fox has called out the federal police to try to dispurse the protests by killing some of them. The protests are spreading and it could spread over the border here into a general "peoples" revolt against everything, Bu$h.

You should, I think, click on the link to give your support to these people. It's not like it'll cost you money, and you may sleep better knowing you did what you could.

Come-on, click the link.

2. It's up! Thanks. I was very sad to hear what happened to Brad Will.
I'm also sad for the Oaxaco people who lost an ally and someone who really cared about getting their story told to the world.

4. Brad Will was a guy , one of the few left
Edited on Sun Oct-29-06 09:38 PM by Jose Diablo
that was doing his job, informing the citizens of the world of what the greedy powerful people in government everyplace are doing.

Because of this, they had him killed, it's on tape who did it, a couple crooked cops employed as contract killers by Vincent Fox.

We complain about a lazy media. I'd say about half of the talking heads we have are bought and paid for, but many would tell it like it is if we the citizens would support them in a pinch.

We must do something to protest of Brads murder.

Click on the link in the op, please. You'll feel better by believing you made a difference in this world, even a small one.

that did Sounds of Silence on the Youtube video.

If so, I got to tell you, that's one of the most powerful and emotive song videos I have ever seen. I loved it. I think if everyone had seen it, then war would fast approach an end.

You you were the one, well done. It made me weep.

Edit to Sounds of Silence: &t=OEgsToPDskJAP7MSpaPp-ojQCAELSehF

I think this will get you there.

14. Jeffersons Ghost did a photo essay here on DU
using the words of Sounds of Silence. It seems some other DUer converted it to Flash video and put it up on Youtube. The original post is here:

22. Gustavo Esteva reports that the people are still on control of
Oaxaca. That the military has been illegally involved. That people are being arrested and disappeared and that there are reports of torture. That three people are known to have been murdered and many are wounded. He reports that the people have shown amazing restraint but that he doesn't know how much longer that will last.

the mountainrebel link seems to be down. I'll do some sleuthing to see if I figure out whathappened, looks like it was denied access via the name server, i.e. the law shut them down. But I see what I can see.

Edit: I'd say mountainrebel.net has been shut down by the DNS:

whois -h whois.internic.net mountainrebel.net/oaxaca ...

with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net

No match for "MOUNTAINREBEL.NET/OAXACA".
