Why CNN hiring Bill Bennett is just like FREDO going to VEGAS

BushCo is run like the mob. It's the only thing that explains Bill Bennett receiving air time on CNN to deliver Rove's talking point. He is on now talking to Leslie Blitzer about how he has "no problem whatsoever" with Bush's illegal spying. Let's see, he also said that the boy king is "working hard" on keeping us safe.


The whole Bennett on CNN thing reminds me of "The Godfather" when Fredo got sent to Vegas because he kept screwing up. One can only imagine Rove (Tom Sullivan) flying out to CNN headquarters and cooly telling the head of CNN (Moe Green)that Fredo is NEVER to be slapped for screwing cocktail waitresses in the newsroom.

3. A correction

Minor issue--Tom Hagen (not Sullivan) was the consigliere, and played by actor Robert Duval. Sorry, Godfather buff, here. Bennett reminds more of Luca Brasi (a not too bright fat hit man, who gets stabbed doing the Godfather's dirty work). I think they have the same wardrobe anyway.
