What is the best way to counter El Rushmo and the rest? They love it when we talk about how moronic |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 06:59 AM by wake.up.america
they are.
How about either ignoring them or reporting about their drivel with just the facts?
We should remember, the more we yell about them, the higher their ratings and the more solidifying it is for the sect members.
Force these guys to become more responsible for their idiotic outbursts.
Or we ignore them. They will recognize they will not receive any attention from us until they act with a bit of sense. Craving attention as they do, they will change.

2. We need to get a campaign together that will force him off the air |
|
I don't know what it would take because the fuck is protected somehow to the point he can propagate what ever lie he deems fitting and is allowed to continue with his bull shit.

4. Force him off the air by making him irrelevent |
|
Don't give him the satisfaction of knowing the BS he spews irks you, on this I definitely agree with the OP.
I certainly wouldn't want to be associated with any government effort to force a political speaker off the air, I just don't pay attention to what he does.

12. People like Rush are the price we pay for free speech |
|
He'll be around as long as people want to hear his crap.
I don't like him, I've never listened, I don't want the government interfering.

3. Make the FCC fine them when caught lying |
|
If they state outright lies they should be fined and then lose their broadcast license.

5. Regulate him off the air |
|
That fat fuck is the ultimate representation of Repug "family values": he spews nothing but lies and hate and the RW not only let him continue, they idolize him. I'm sure we have regulations against irresponsible broadcasting. It's time he found some real values or off the fucking air with him.

if a conservative FCC went around defining the standards of "responsible broadcasting"
That's not the America I want.

Let them argue why 10-year-old Tommy should be allowed to listen to Rush. Then everyone will know what they truly stand for.
I'm not for the status quo, or for "waiting till the Dems come to save us".

remarks about Michael J. Fox's condition.
Rush does not care about the truth, he cares about ratings. Discussing Rush is useless, unless you keep in mind he wants nothing but higher ratings.

11. I respectfully disagree. |
|
The discussions about what Rush said were not a big deal. But the film clip of Rush. looking like he had scored a large dose of the acid that Joe Cocker was doing at Woodstock when he did an amazing cover of the Beatles' "A Little Help from my Friends," hurt the republicans. I'm sure that Rush regretted his being caught on film. And I'm sure that people like Rove were pissed.

shine a bright light on everything these crooks do and the truth will be enough to bring them down.
they thrive in the shadows and they create confusion to "muddy the waters" .. to obscure the truth. Cut through their obstructions and they will fall.
True.
