Is the Bush administration ever going to apologize for what it has done? |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 09:42 AM by savemefromdumbya
There's a very long list of atrocities that they have controlled and played a part in (list tool long). Will they finally apologize? Will the public ever forgive them. I think you know what I am talking about.

Iraq is a huge success.
We have a nonstop war, giving the chimp war powers. We have unbelievable and uninvestigated frauds in IraqNam, to the benefit of GOP supporters. We have incredible (and unconstitutional) powers over the citizens of this country. We have an economy that is booming for the top 5% - all GOP supporters. We have an economy that is cutting health care, retirement, social welfare and schooling benefits for 70% of the country - to the benefit of the top 5%. We have environmental attacks increasing to the benefit of the GOP supporters and the detriment to all of us.
What is there to apologize for? They have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. And all too many in the congress sat back and let the steal us blind.

11. Actually, lynching implies death by hanging, |
|
so probably not. The hangman's noose is a modern invention. People were hanged in medieval times, but after being killed by other means--the hanging was simply to display their corpse as a deterrent to future crimes, and also to desecrate their hellbound souls.
Sometimes, the execution was done while the victim was hanging, by the executioner jumping up and down on their shoulders until their neck broke.
Just stuff to think about.

I thought "drawn and quartered" referred to the punishment where horses are tied to each limb and a gun is fired into the air.

Bush has never made a mistake, remember? Ever. He's already tried to pass the blame on to the generals and even to Maliki in the past week. The man is incapable of admitting any sort of error.

16. No sooner than all the criminals in prison confess and apologize. |
|
The Bush corporate cabal is a criminal organization.
We will never hear an apology from the corrupt gangsters like Cheney.
They believe it is their right to loot the Treasury and send us off to wars for profits.

19. A blanket pardon is doubtless on the table. |
|
If you don't think Bush & his people recognize the potential for impeachment--or even imprisonment (maybe under the very "providing support for terrorists" laws he just pushed through)--then think again. They know that a Democratic Congress would investigate the Bushies relentlessly, and we all know they'd uncover plenty of crud. So you can bet the farm that there's a pardon all drafted and waiting in a red box on the wall: "In Emergency Break Glass."
The prospect of being held indefintely without trial should be enough to make a guy want to cut & run from "staying the course." And with any luck at all, it's scary enough to send a guy back to the bottle.
Bush 41 must be whipsawed between conflicting emotions about his Prodigal Son--willing to throw all his old pals behind saving the kid's ass (like the Baker Commission, which is clearly designed to give the kid a graceful way to exit his Iraq mess), but furious with how the Drunken Loser has demolished a half-century of the more authentic Conservatism that Baker and Bush 41 represented.

Hardly, these men will make millions from military contractors, giving speeches, winning Noble Peace Prizes. The public does not matter. These men will enjoy moving in the circles of power for the rest of their lives.
