Rove's Math: Could it have something to do with secret vote counting?

Last week Karl Rove was intereviewed by Robert Siegel on NPR Radio. Siegel asked him about the polls and how virtually every one shows the Democrats taking over Congress on November 7th.

Rove's response was to become agitated. He said Siegel was only looking at the national polls, and not the individual polls, and got angry when Siegel explained he was in fact looking at the same polls Rove was.

Then Rove gets more aggravated and says "you're entitled to your math, I'm entitled to THE math."

1. Rove reads what he wants to read and then changes it so everyone reads what he wants to read.

I would be very careful with Rove, or it will be a very sad day in America.

Unfortunately, it's true--he probably does have better info, district by district, than the media (or the Dems) have. He's created some incredibly sophisticated systems for ID-ing his voters, while we were resting on the laurels of our traditionally strong (but now old-fashioned) ground-game. What may not be true, though, is that his info shows a win by the Repulsives...nor what a "win" means when both chambers of Congress appear to be under credible threat.

We MUST get out and interact with our voters--especially the ones who've been disgusted with the attack ads of both parties--in bigger numbers than ever before, if we're to overcome their money advantage and their data-mining efficiencies!

The voters who are disenchanted by the slime-attacks are the Great Middle of the spectrum. They had been leaning our way until the shit began flying, but many of them are now thinking of staying home, or not making a Congressional choice. The Repulsives know that if they can keep those people repelled, while they turn out their Obedient Zombies, they win.

Walk! Talk! Listen! Smile! Warn 'em that not voting is a vote for More Of The Same Crap! Tell the "Leaning Democratic" to go ahead and vote their hearts, not the baloney on TV!
