3. What they don't realize is

Caring too much about looking bad, LOOKS REALLY BAD!

That's where the Repubs are kicking our asses. They don't care what people's opinions are of them, and that looks really good to people. Confidence. Of course for them, confidence means a lack of self-awareness, to the point of arrogance, but it's human nature for that air of confidence to cause people to follow them.

Democrats are maybe too much in denial about people's animal nature, while Repubs are busy exploiting our animal nature.

4. They're All the Same--National or Local

I was recently told by a Democratic district leader that "we would look bad" if "we" supported someone who was considered too far left! WTF is that all about? Why how they "look" is more important than the failures the elected representatives have turned out to be is way beyone me. It is frustrating when you realize your party doesn't represent you.
