GOP Leading All Over Now - Overheard on Faux News today...
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 02:57 PM by texpatriot2004
Faux was on at the car dealership (I hate it when they turn that crap on in office settings) anyway, Faux has started the lie to effect "election" plausibility.

According to Faux mid-morning "news", the GOP is pulling ahead in races all over the country due to the Campaigner-in-Chief being out and about rallying the sheep (no offense to the real sheep).

* is doing such a great job at these appearances that the GOP are leading now.

Remember, victory has to at least appear "plausible."

Of course, it's Faux so I don't believe it for a minute but the lying babble about the "election" has begun.

Reminds me of the funny business the media pulled in 2000 and in the wee hours of "election" night 2004. The media stirs it all up by catapulting propoganda and spinning bullshit and voila...it's a close race, in fact, they are all too close to call, could go either way, blah, blah, blah and the truth of it all goes out the window only to get caught up in chaos. I hope this time will be different.

4. So, a visit to Texas and Georgia is all it takes to turn the tide?!?!
Brilliant! Why didn't we think of that?

Here we've been having GOTV drives, issues debates, and campaign think sessions!

8. IMHO, this is yet another mis-step by the GOP ...
... and its supporters.

Surveys have repeatedly shown that Republicans are feeling less inclined to vote in this election than Democrats.

So now the FAUX-watching couch potatoes are hearing that their guys are pulling ahead, which makes them even LESS inclined to get up off their asses and vote. "See, my guys are doing just fine without me. No need for me to bother myself."

13. Less inclined, until Election Day...
Surveys have repeatedly shown that Republicans are feeling less inclined to vote in this election than Democrats.

Then the Corporate Media will report that millions of Repubs woke up that morning to hear God's voice, speaking through the voice of Ronald Reagan, telling them to vote! Vote for family values, religious morality, personal responsibility, and--dammit--the Berlin Wall is going back up! Vote Republican, or Osama will bring al Qaeda into Anytown, USA!!!

:sarcasm:

22. If you are relying on software rather than turnout, then this works.
The big "surge" at the finish will just pave the way for the lie they tell with the eVotes. When they keep the House and Senate, they will say that they had a great finish. Won't matter that everyone stayed home if many of the people who think they are voting for Dems are getting their vote counted Repuke.

Fox would never risk the time-tested political dangers of predicting victory for their own party. It's a universal taboo to predict victory and risk having voters stay home. A partisan monster like FOX is a player in this game--not a reporter--and they are IN on the Big Game. They are following a script. If they were trying to win this at the polls, then they would be taking a different tact. This worries me.

9. hahahaha. every mainstream poll tells the same story:
Dems by a huge margin in the House, and a very close battle for the Senate (though likelihood of a "wave" election can help tip that as well).

10. I saw that their cheerleading began last weekend
and you know they need to convince their base to vote and since FAUX is a subsidiary of the RNC they are trying to do their best to motivate them. For instance, they said that Steele is moving ahead in Maryland, even though one poll has him down by ten points (Washington Post).

14. This is their fucking plan...Don't you get it, YET?
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 03:51 PM by GreenTea
Bush will be doing these big "rallies" until election day...To show everyone he has huge support and that's the reason for the republicans holding onto the Houses (after the elections)...The media will eat it up, and Rove knows the media will say... in the end the American people trusted Bush with the war of terror (large crowds, remember)....Not only that, the media will also say Bush must be a master the way he turned the election around for the republicans AND he predicted it all along!!!!

Justifying this impossible turnaround by the republican thieves with their machines.

Of course it's very easy to do, when you steal elections with the republican owned Diebold machines & software which over 85% of America votes with....The republicans have NOTHING to lose by stealing the elections...they have been since 2000 and never any repercussions, none, never!

We must somehow monitor voting activity at the voting stations...donate your time.

19. And then if they can't quite get it stolen they'll claim the dems stole it
All they need is the resulting chaos and uncertainty. We expect this shit from them, they're pukes, but it's sad to see all their young bought bots enacting the plan. Such rampant, blatant corruption.

Edit: So they are going to attempt to create chaos by yelling the dems stole it if they can't pull off their theft.
They always telegraph their punches. Good to have that confirmed, thanks Fox.

18. Maybe you should send them this newest poll by CNN....
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's popularity has not been buoyed by a series of public events in recent days, a new CNN poll has found.

Bush's approval rating still hovers in the high 30s, where it has been throughout October.

The poll, conducted by Opinion Research Corp., found that 37 percent of Americans approve of how Bush is handling his job as president; 58 percent disapprove.

The president's approval dropped slightly from the poll taken a week earlier, from 39 percent down to 37 percent, but the change was within the poll's sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

A total of 1,014 adult Americans were interviewed for the latest poll between October 27 and 29.

20. Faux is laying the foundation for a bunch of those surprise wins at the
last minute. They're not pulling out. Wait for my post with TIA later tonight. You'll see.

It's either a lie to serve as cover for dirty tricks as the election or just the Faux people
lying. Why? Because it's their nature.

Later!

34. Why would they not win the election?
When you have the High God on your side? When you know the stakes in this election? Why would you allow it to be made by people who haven't seen the data? Why would you allow yourself to be taken out of power?
