Bob Corker's Daughter Julia-- Strong In Republican Values??

The GOP just keeps bringing it on themselves. They got so used to smearing the Dems and not getting slapped back ... well, guess what ReThug assholes ... it's a new day.

Lookie here at what monkeyfister posted @ Blah3:

2. OH come on...
I know plenty of college (girl) friends who've kissed girls and partied it up with the best of them... I think this subject is ridiculous and the girl should be left out of it.

5. An even better reason...
to just let it go.

Does everyone realize how often things like this happen in high school? Do their parents have anything to do with it?

11. While I agree that this doesn't belong in a political debate
I did look at the pics and if this was a high school party and my daughter was dancing around in her panties I'd be a little worried.

13. well yeah...
I didn't say it shouldn't be worrisome to parents...I'd probably have a stroke if I saw my daughter on the internet like that...

But I don't have children of my own and am young enough to realize that this sort of thing does happen.

14. I just saw on another thread that she is out stumping for her
father. Looks like she threw her hat into the ring and is now fair game.

I am a parent and I also realize that things like this happen. But from the kids of a family values candidate? Who go on TV claiming what a great dad he is? If her father couldn't teach his own kids self-respect then how can he effectively serve the public?

16. Well my kids do alot of things I tell them not to
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 05:07 PM by walldude
if they didn't they wouldn't be kids. But I have raised them to be smart enough not to get drunk, take off their clothes and dance around a room full of dressed people(unless they are getting paid for it  ). And if they do then I hope to god they have the sense not to post pictures of themselves on the internet.

3. She is NOT a candidate.
Leave her alone. This sort of attack will just backfire, but more importantly, it's ugly.

6. This is irrelevant and I hope it doesn't get statewide attention.
It will backfire if it does, because the Rep. will blame Dem. no matter who leaks that info to the press. Rep will blame Dem that they will bring Corker's daughter into the election. Allen's book attack seem to backfire on him because voters feel he is a hypocrite for bringing it up when he said he was gonna focus on the issues.

7. Bob Corker's Daughter Julia, is not running for office
her private life should not be dragged out for all to see. I am sorry, but at some level we should decide to take the high road.

10. To tell you the truth ...

I could care less what Corker's daughter does, or who she does it with. I also believe Ford's got too much class to run with something like this. I'm just pointing out how easy it is to twist a harmless picture or episode into something that could be viewed quite different. I have teens also (boys, 17 and 15) so I know how harmless those pictures really are.

We HAVE been the party of 'the higher road' in these matters ... and so, the ReThugs have come to believe they can tell and sell any lie, distortion and/or baseless attack with impunity. I don't think this is where we wish to take a stand and push back, either ... but I'm damn glad I've seen some claws come out this election cycle in response to bogus ads and talking points. I think it's necessary that they are be unveiled as smug, self-serving hypocrites.

It's true she's not a candidate, but she IS a reflection of a man running on strong family values ... so that makes her fair game to some. Face book, My Space and other such sites are popular, especially with youth ... they need to realize that what they do today may come back to bite them in the ass tomorrow.

I'm sorry if I've offended some by posting that link ... but I'm not sorry that I posted it. Take it or leave it ... but it's information that's out there.

12. This whole thing is stupid, low and might backfire.
if the Dems across the state decide to spread this I think it will backfire against them just like the low blows the RNC is using are. People are sick of this crap.
