To my sister: I will never salute our flag

I got one of her bullshit emails again after she promised not to send me anymore. This one was a 'national anthem has to be sung in English' one. It set me off. Here is what I responded with before blocking her...

Tell this father how important it is to sing the National Anthem in English. Tell him that we invaded his country for his own good. Tell this father his child can be replaced. Tell him his loss isn’t that important when compared to the ‘wonderful’ things the United States is doing for Iraq. Tell this father that the United States is the greatest country on the planet.

This is why I hate emails about singing the national anthem in English, why I hate emails about prayer in schools and how fucking great we are. I hate hearing we’re such a fucking wonderful country when we’re killing these people. We’re fighting them over there. . . remember?

As long as the United States continues the policies that maim, murder and torture people I will NEVER say we’re a great country. I will NEVER salute the flag until Iraq is free from our imperialistic occupation.

This photo is the truth. It’s not propaganda and it’s not some bullshit crap that says we’re threatened because somebody wants to sing the National Anthem in another language.

A father lost his child to this fucking war. Find the justice in that.

I could have sent a more graphic photo, but I kept this one because it's such a kick to the gut. I cried the first time I saw it and the image stays with me. I don't know if this will have the same effect on her or not. All I know I'm pissed as hell. :grr:

She lives in her own world of her own problems and rarely thinks outside them. She gets these things and emails them to me or whoever else she likes without taking into consideration how much I hate this stuff. She did promise a while back she wouldn't send any more. It shows how twisted priorities are and I wish she'd get hers straight.

Her and my RW mom both think that if you're an illegal you have no right to the rights under the constitution. :eyes:

Until something kicks her in the teeth hard enough to break the spell of Lamebawl Land, you're better off with the blocked email. If she really, really has to get in touch with you, she can cough up the money for a phone call.

I know, I've had to block quite a few people. Often they just don't THINK and send the garbage to everybody in the address book.
