An independent group should swiftboat Corker by using his daughter
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 04:14 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
RePUKES like to say it doesn't take a village and whatever someone's kid does it's because of the parents and "personal responsibility." I hope some independent group runs ads about Corker's daughter. Ford can keep his hands clean and Corker can be hoisted on his own family values rePUKE petard.

1. Jesus
First, she's 18 years old. If you don't think your daughters are doing similar things, you are blind.

Second, it's a closed mouth kiss. A greeting I see among women in the US every day.

This is so beneath everyone to be fixating on. There are so many other issues to discuss about Corker that don't involve his damn children.

I am so sick of seeing these threads on this board.

2. Let the voters of Tennesee decide.........
if this is a closed mouth kiss or not. Or if this is how they think the family of a US Senator should act.

Doean't his children's behavior reflect on his own family values?

3. "Doean't his children's behavior reflect on his own family values?"
Does Al Gore's son pot smoking and reckless driving reflect his values?

Does Howard Dean's son stealing alcohol reflect his values?

I say no. I say children are not reponsible for the sins of the father (or mother) nor are parents in total control of their children. It is a sleazy tactic in the best light.

When we start rejecting the frame. we begin to win the argument.

10. I agree
Just because the republicans do it, doesn't mean the democrats should. Every word on this board is about how better democrats are than republicans. Why stoop to their level.

"The children of a US senator" should be given the leeway to make their own mistakes and do their own thing since they are their own individual people. An actual good parent gives their children the freedom to be their own people and learn their own boundaries.

Whether or not her father talks about how a "traditional" family should act or look like isn't significant. Whether her father brought someone else's family into the election discussion is also not significant.

This is a cheap and shitty ploy, which should not be discussed.

She's a private figure, a college kid. That's is totally and completely immoral. We hated it when Chelsea was called ugly... what if they had done something like you're suggesting???

Mary Cheney is a public figure. Julia Corker isn't. Leave the kid alone.

And, if you don't think attacking someone's kid wouldn't backfire...

edited for using wrong word.
