to DH's 2008 "campaign".
When Democrats take over in January, it's not going to be much fun for DH. Maybe he'll stay on until primary season 2008 to see whether the wind is blowing toward putting him back in control of billions in "defense" spending. If not, he might retire.
Do House members still get to keep their campaign warchests when they retire?
Even if they have to give it to other candidates, money is power for retiring House members, who might give it to whoever the Boss says give it to when they switch over to working directly for some corporate interest from whom they used to just take bribes.
