I don't think they DARE steal it this time, and the bullshit about 'GOP Surging...' |
|
.. is the setup for them to say the DEM'S STOLE IT.
I hope they do try to say the Dem's rigged the voting machines... the Dem's come back with legislation..
THAT TOTALLY BANS VOTING MACHINES. PERIOD. NO OPTICAL SCANNERS EITHER. NO MECHANICAL COUNTING THAT CAN BE RIGGED.
Paper/Pencils/People
then what do the 'thugs do?

I recall hearing something about that last election. I forget which state it is. Oregon? Washington?

7. Yes, and it kicks ass!! |

~80% turnout is not uncommon in presidential election years.
You can even watch them being counted. They've thought this through.

8. Actually, they're counted on optical scanners |
|
and to ensure accurate counts, you'd have to do extensive audits.

Well, so far, I've read at least half a dozen different stories about "glitches" in early voting. Every one of them which has reported a specific instance goes like this: voter (name) tried to vote for (Dem) candidate but on the final review portion of the process (Rep) candidate came up on the machine as the candidate selected. Or, in one story, voter (name) wanted to vote a (Dem) stragiht ticket, and the machine showed a (Rep) straight ticket.
It's a very weird kind of glitch that always favors one party, rather than simply favoring "the other" party.

5. I don't think they dare to NOT at least try. |

Their careers and all of their behind the scenes party machinery is based on this shit. You don't stop a machine that big very quickly. And I don't think they have any incentive to.
They need to steal votes. Even if they don't manage to steal enough to win they will steal enough make themselves look competative. It will keep them in the game so they can bully their way out of endictments.
All we're going to hear for years if we win is that we're being uncivilized sore winners if we try to get rid of the corruption and hold people accountable.

It's not, do the dare, it's they have to; otherwise it's off to Gitmo for the lot of them.

6. I wish I could share your optimism, but it comes down to simple math |
|
They could DARE to try to steal the vote, and get caught stealing the vote
or
They could play it safe by not vote stealing, and get caught doing a million other things.

10. They Are Already Stealing It |
|
Voters have been purged from voting rolls. Identificaton requirements are being put into place that amount to a poll tax. Early voters are finding that the machinez are switching their votes, right before their eyes.

paper ballots can be rigged, too. To eliminate such cheating was one of the reasons mechanical methods and optical scanner were developed.
Only vigilance and stiff penalties for those caught will minimize cheating. But like the border fence, it can only minimize, not eliminate the problem it purports to solve.
