Update for DU'ers who Don't Have Cable and Don't Watch TV!

It appears that the MSM/CNN has turned to the "Light Side" and Wolf Blitzer and Whore Reporters are finally doing "Some" reporting that includes us LEFTIES on the INTERNET.

Even MSRNC the home of GE (Defense Contracts) and "other things" has tried to get their Whore Media ..Chris Matthews and others to Pump Bush while they try to appear impartial to DEMS!

So...while you are missing BIG MEDIA's TURN AGAINST BUSH...I wouldn't sign up for "TIME-WARNER CABLE" just yet.

It appears that Blitzer, Dobbs and a little of Tweety Matthews is reporting MORE on Bush's Fascism....it's still weak. The better reports are coming from CNN..and that says that AIE(American Enterprise Institute/Think Tank) has PULLED THE PLUG...and "Shadow Government" want's BUSH II GONE!!!!

It's not so clear from "GE/MSNBC/CNBC/NBC" ...because they still seem to be "GAMEING our LEFTY DEMS." They "appear to be trying" but some falls flat while other stuff "sticks to the wall."

It's getting BETTER in that they are now USING BLOGS to REPORT AND DRIVE NEWS...but it's just "toes in the water" ...I think.

Don't sign up for CABLE right now....we folks will try to keep you informed.

these days. And, I know that most Cable Free Dems do come to DU for news...so I was giving you the "birds eye" of how the Cables are "appearing" to come around to the fact that GWB is a DISASTER!

But, it's not worth it to subscribe to pay what the rest of us do to view it. I LOVE that some of you out there still have principles...but we need to keep you guys and gals apprised of what's going on. :shrug:

2. after turning the t.v. on about 7 o'clock Eastern time ...

wolf blitzer, paula zahn, and jack cafferty were on ... (i don't know what they were talking about, and i don't know who had asked what of cafferty. i happened to turn on the t.v. as he was saying something about a truthteller in the news and hoping that he would not soon be gone because these days, he said, speaking the truth gets people disappeared.

i think wolf swallowed hard and didn't know what to say, so paula zahn stepped in changing the subject and said something about the fact that she and cafferty had not worked together since ...

anyhow, blitzer and zahn didn't pick up on jack's line, they looked uncomfortable with it and i changed the station to a re-run of the GILMORE GIRLS.

Thank you very much for remembering those who for various reasons choose to be tv-less. We didn't watch much, didn't like much, and simply could not justify the expense in our limited budget. We have no regrets turning it off for ourselves, and especially our grands when they visit, but we do know we miss stuff. However, we know we get EVERYTHING important on DU!

You are very special to remember us and let us know when to turn it back on!

7. I would cut the whole damned thing off myself...but I just am a "media watcher"

so that always overcomes my "Principles." But, I know you all are out there.

Believe me...the best that I see for TRENDS is that the Cables are now USING THE INTERNET FOLKS like you and me to be "free reporters."

What does THAT MEAN? It means WE out here on the "Liberal Internets" are suddenly DRIVING THE NEWS...because the Cable Reporters are being "cut back in funds" and so they NEED US!

Sad thing is that what we do for "FREE" because we love being "REPORTERS FOR TRUTH" allows them to live a life style we here in the "Fever Swamps" of "Internet Reporting" only dream of.

When are they going to HIRE US...when they USE our NEWS???? :shrug:

Still..I'm glad to see that "WE" are making a huge impact. That's good...so I'll work for free just like the rest...because we ALL WORK FOR "THE CAUSE!"

I have so many expenses right now that cable is just not even worth considering--that and I haven't watched much of any tv for some time now--a few shows on network and that's it...

I won't say I wouldn't "come back," but I appreciate your updating and advising those of us "in the dark" right now...That said, I'm very appreciative to those who post video clips and synopses of the important shows and happenings from the "tube." Very appreciative!

believe me on this. Everytime you click a link or hit a video...because you are here in the "Internet Culture" you are supporting the REAL NEWS...in other words...Internet is DRIVING the OLD WHORE MEDIA!

It's good...so don't feel bad you don't give your money to Cable...because what you say you are SUPPORTING HERE...is making a BIG DIFFERENCE! And, you should be PROUD of EVERY ARTICLE you PASS ALONG...because it's BEEN IMPORTANT in the TIDE CHANGE...

12. On Air America Radio, Al Franken did another interview in time slot with AIE

Fellow Norm Ornstein (who has been EVERYWHERE lately ....like his "hair is on fire" trying to alert folks that "Congress is Broken" and we NEED Dems in there. Norm wrote the book with Thomas Mann(much more the Dem Partner) about "Broken Branch" that signalled that the Congress is BROKEN.

What's interesting is that CNN in it's Documentary Reports Last week every night on a differen subject picked up the Meme of BROKEN GOVERNMENT along with Lou Dobbs using "Broken Borders," in his popular reports.

The "American Enterprise Institute" breaking with BUSH/Neo-Cons should be big news for all us DU'ers who KNOW WHAT AIE has always been Up To. A Major Think Tank with an AGENDA that supported Bush all the way...until now.

Al Franken did go at Norm Ornstein...delicately asking "who else serves with you on AEI...and Norm said: "Jean Kirkpatrick" amongst others. :eyes:

Hey...we Dems take what we can get but when AEI turns against Bush...IT'S A BIG DEAL!!!! and that they "turned" Blitzer and CNN says ALOT! Although, Blitzer seemed to turn after the Israeli Blitz of Lebanon...and that might mean why the AEI turned also. :shrug:

We're out in the boonies, no cable and dismal network feed. I refuse to get a satellite dish since it would consume our family time.

16. I use to be a major news junky

But I turned them off and I don't plan to turn them on again anytime soon. I sent emails to every news outlet I could think of in Aug 2004. Begging them to report on how children were raped and abused in Abu Grhaib and I got absolutely no response and still haven't seen any stories on this. As far as I'm concerned cable news is just propaganda.

But thanks for the update.
