Landrieu & Katrina
When you call her office, let them know that the grassroots Dems you know are as upset over the response to Katrina as they are about Alito. Let them know that we are the same grassroots that will be there for her, any time SHE ASKS. We want to be a powerful voice for people all over the country and protect everybody's rights, including the rights of Louisianans to rebuild as quickly as possible. Maybe if she knows we haven't forgotten her state's needs, she will be more inclined to consider everybody else's opinion on the filibuster.

1. Landrieu said that Bush
deserved a "pat on the back" for his "outstanding" response to Katrina on Anderson Cooper.

3. I really don't care
I think when you live in the south with its huge Republican voting block, there's a whole other level of politics, both local and in the Senate, that she has to deal with. She has to deal with a Republican Senator and Republican constituents and probably feels like she can't afford to alienate anybody. That's why she needs to know we're out here, maybe she has never felt that from the grassroots before. I don't know. She sure needs to feel it now, that we will be there for her too.

2. Exactly.. Remind her that it was people from ACROSS the nation
that volunteered, people and money. That it is we who care and will have her back if she will have ours in kind.
