independents. It shows just how depraved the republicans are.

7. Not worst. Evil.
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 10:39 PM by Gregorian
He succeeded. He accomplished his mission. Worst implies some sort of failure. He didn't fail. He's just one evil son of a bitch.

Oh, we’re big rock singers.
We got golden fingers.
And we’re loved everywhere we go.
We sing about beauty,
And we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show.
We take all kinds of pills
To give us all kind of thrills,
But the thrill we’ve never known
Is the thrill that’ll getcha
When you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone.

21. That's an evil, evil man. And Dr. Hook rocks!
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 03:02 AM by StrictlyRockers
My dad used to listen to Dr. Hook all the time when we lived in the Philippines in the mid-70's. This was, like, my favorite song of theirs along with a few others. I couldn't help singing along to the tune when I saw the first verse. And I can't resist posting the rest of the lyrics so I can sing along to the rest. That is an evil, evil man.

THE COVER OF THE ROLLING STONE

Oh, we’re big rock singers.
We got golden fingers.
And we’re loved everywhere we go.
We sing about beauty,
And we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show.
We take all kinds of pills
To give us all kind of thrills,
But the thrill we’ve never known
Is the thrill that’ll getcha
When you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone.

Rolling Stone...
Wanna see my picture on the cover.
Stone...
Wanna buy five copies for my Mother.
Stone...
Wanna see my smiling face
On the cover of the Rolling Stone.

I got a freaky old lady
Named Cocaine Katy
Who embroiders all my jeans.
Got my poor old grey-haired daddy
Drivin’ my limousine.
It’s all designed to blow our minds,
But our minds won’t really get blown
Like the blow that’ll getcha
When you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone.

We gotta lotta little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who do anything we say.
We got a genuine Indian guru
Who’s teaching us a better way.
We got all the friends that money can buy,
So we never have to be alone.
And we keep getting richer,
But we can’t get our picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone.

(edited because I thought I spelled something wrong, but I was right :P)

Man, I am sitting here after looking at your profile.

It's good to have you here.

I went to UCSC in 1974. (I'll never forget when the guy down the hall brought in the first Bob Marley record we'd ever heard.) I'm a college radio junky. All I can say is my head is spinning. It's good.

And I was thinking Shel Silverstein. Dr. Hook. Wow. It's all good.

19. This totally came off Agnostic to me...
from the article...

"Having waved away the lessons of history in the making of his decisions, the present-minded Bush doesn't seem to be concerned about his place in history. "History. We won't know," he told the journalist Bob Woodward in 2003. "We'll all be dead.""

We'll all be dead? Uh... what about your Christian afterlife dude? Is his view really that narrow, or is he a closet Agnostic?

23. The destruction of the Constitution, freedom and liberty, and the off-loading of the treasury
to favored interests have never before been primary goals of another president so any comparison with any other president is meaningless.

However, it is well worth the read. I could not agree more with the author's assessment of President Bush.

This has truly turned my bad day into something so good...The worst president in history? They got that right. Bush is such a waste,(':dunce:') and no, I will not apologize for saying this about him. I'm so ashamed of him and his whole worthless administration.

34. I still think the worst ever is Reagan, but it's a great cover.

Reagan and his henchman set up this whole bush thing. Without Reagan, bush never would have been able to get elected or pull off the crap he did.
