2. Not too bizarre
It's worth keeping in mind that Lieberman is more liberal than Byrd on choice and other social issues (though is much more hawkish than Byrd.

I always looked at Byrd as one that would go the other way on this. I was hoping the concept of Alito deferring so much unchecked power to the executive branch would convince him to go against Alito. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

5. Patriot Act
not that I really think the democrats will rally to filibuster it,(the Patriot Act) but I wonder if that has something to do with the big picture. I think a lot of Robert Byrd. His speech on the original Patriot act was classic. So is he.

3. I heard that he's trying to get more support from people further left....
but in my opinion it's just an act. Like the two senators that want to be our next president (who I'll leave un-named) that always vote and act like republicans.

7. Lieberman has always been a progressive. Except not on the middle
east. Should be no surprize.

9. No kidding.
Most people are too knee-jerk around here to actually look into what he's been for and against in a larger sense.

8. If Lieberman supports the
filibuster bet the farm and the first born that the effort is doomed.
