Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 04:02 AM by MazeRat7
I mean really, is this best "come back" * &/or Rove has? Lord talk about lame. I could write a book on what the * has given us that is way worse than higher taxes and the general population knows this as well...

You know the small things like ... dead sons and daughters, huge debt, loss of freedom, less "homeland" security... hell the list is endless... :sarcasm:

But all they have for pResidential stump speeches is "the dems will raise your taxes" ? Gezzz Louise.... talk about "NOT" having a message or a plan...

Seriously, this election is being handled just like they handled Iraq, Katrina, etc... no plan, no action, all hat, no cattle.

Yeah...its ours for the taking anything less requires an uprising. (just so they can "try" and impose martial law... fuck-wits....)

edit: Added :sarcasm: tag for those that literally read "small" as being "insignificant" and those others that take themselves way to seriously. :)

1. Taxes are cheaper than interest hikes
If Bush hadn't run up the debt because he was busy giving our FICA away to the wealthy, we wouldn't be having these interest hikes which is going to hurt a lot more than increased taxes would.

etc

3. Prime example of Repukeganda...
...Dems will have choice but to raise taxes. Its going to have be a necassary evil for us. Specially the Rich who need to be taxed, why? Because they live here too and they are going to help pay back the defecit along with everyone else.

That money that the GOP ask for and got is not FREE money, it will have to be payed back. When your talking TRILLIONS of wasted loans from international banks its going to be awhile before we can claen up Shrubs War spending and all the other shit BushCo has fucked up or destroyed.

So, yes, Taxes will go up because thats how we will have to pay those debts back. For those who see taxes increases as an evil, they need to blame their president.

4. Moot Point - You have to make money
to worry about paying taxes and for many of us, we aren't making nearly what we used to. I had to enter DumbAss's "Ownership Society" after getting screwed over by Corporate America and have not only lost $50k in wages, I am looking at another $10,000 loss in income this year. I will be lucky if I am making half of what I made six years ago. Am I better off today? Hell no! Taxes are not my worry, even if they go up...

6. So, how many Americans have actually had LOWER taxes under B*sh?
Except for the privledged few in the top $$$ percentile,
just exactly WHO has actually seen any savings the last
few April 15ths??????

And compare that to the MASSIVE DAILY GOUGING
we're all taking at the pumps, at the grocery stores,
on our heating bills...

B*sh has jacked up the average American's cost of living
by an OBSCENE amount. We ALL have less money than we did
before he occupied the Oval Office.

And we also have less to show for what we DO pay.
Money that used to go to the Government, to pay for
basic services, now goes to giant corporations, where
it gets us NOTHING but the joy of reading headlines
about record profits.

8. Counter with
Republicans said that Clinton's 1993 budget would bankrupt this country ...

that Iraqis would greet us with flowers and chocolate ...

that the War would last 6 months and cost 30 billion dollars ...

that George W. Bush would uphold the Constitution ...

that Mark Foley would protect teenagers from sexual predators on the internet ...

that Republicans would be fiscally good for this country ...

that WMDs would be found in Iraq ...

that Al Gore would cause gas prices to reach (horrors!) $1.50 a gallon ...

so how can you believe them now?

9. Democrats won't raise taxes
But we will have to quit borrowing from China.

The Dems will just quit spending like there is no Tomorrow.

Its not taxes that are the problem, it is the out-of-control-spending that Dems will have to manage.

Of course, we might raise the tax rate on people like say, oh, Bill Clinton. But word is, he's cool with that. Who, if they are as rich as Bill Clinton, wouldn't mind contributing a little more to Keep America Safe!

11. It's shifted a bit to "The terrorists win and America loses" if the Dems win
At least that's what I heard Bush say. Unbelievable, but true that he said it!

Bush is now out doing his road show, rolled up blue-collar shirt, thicker cowboy accent, and...FREE PRESS!!! Yes, every stop gets aired three times a day on the local stations (not to mention live on the cables with re-runs again and again and again and again and again).

Hmmmm....Is the Democratic challenger in each of these stump speech locales getting free air time, too? I seriously doubt it. It's only "news" when the President shows up to push the propaganda.

13. That's there old chestnut--trotted out every two years with regularity
nevermind that spending and deficits are higher than ever under the GOP and the only balanced budgets we had in the last 30 plus years was under Bill Clinton.

14. And take your guns
Oh, yeah...

Dems will raise your taxes, take your guns, make you give up your pickup truck, and their environmental regulations will force your company to lay you off.

15. How much have the GOPers let the insurance and oil companies
scalp you? How about your utility companies gouging you without government regulation, or oversight, thanks to the GOP? And how about your state, county, and city tax increases, due to the GOP's cutting of government funding for states counties and cities?

Gasoline has been up over $3.00 a gallon milk up to $4.00 a gallon, everything you buy, costs much more than it did 6 years ago. Wages have gone down and benefits have gone away. Congress have gotten raises though! And Exxon and Halliburton, have never done better.
