The CBS Early Show apparently doesn't know the song "Turning Japanese"...
is about masturbation.

They're doing a story about visiting Japan, and they used the song "Turning Japanese" as part of a video montage.

Is it worth pointing it out to them?

Turning Japanese
The Vapors
(Charlie's Angels Soundtrack)

I got your picture of me and you
You wrote "I love you" I wrote "me too"
I sit here staring and there's nothing else to do
Oh it's in color
Your hair is brown
Your eyes are hazel
And soft as clouds
I have to kiss you when there's no one else around

I got your picture, I got your picture
I'd like a million of you over myself
I want a doctor to take a picture
So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning up and turning down
and turning in and turning 'round

I'm turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so

<snip>

No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women
No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it's dark
Everyone around me is a total stranger
Everyone avoids me like a Psyclone Ranger
Everyone

That's why I'm turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so
Turning Japanese
I think I'm turning Japanese
I really think so...

6. From Wikipedia - the Source of All that Is Good and Decent on the Net
Dave Fenton viewed it as a love song when writing it, he would alternately confirm and deny the rumors (about it being a song about masturbation) in interviews.

There always seems to be a large amount of people who think any song that has lyrics you can't quite figure out the point of means that it's about masturbation or the singer's penis (ala "Me and Mister Jones" by Counting Crows) etc.

7. Straight from the "Vapors" bass player
The song doesn't really have any meaning. I worked in Japan, oddly enough, with one of his relatives who said the band gets a huge kick out of people trying to assign meaning to "Turning Japanese".

8. What about the masturbatory motions in their music video?
Granted, back then pretty much ALL music videos...

Well, you know.
