3. Yeah boy! We shouldn't lie. We shouldn't play the same game
as repukes play. We're better than them. Yes indeed. They play fair in everything they do. THAT'S the problem with the Democratic party! They can't find it in themselves to fight fire with fire, bring a gun to a gun-fight, beat 'em at their own game. LOOK AT WHERE THAT BEHAVIOR HAS GOTTEN US!!! You HAVE to learn to play by their rules if you EVER want to be in power again. It's that simple. ENOUGH OF THIS "let's play fair BULLSHIT!"

It's a damn ZIP CODE and will carry MUCH more weight. They may even consider what you say instead of tossing it in the garbage.

2. I have been stating that I am not a constituent
and they have not been rude. Honesty might be the best policy here.

I said I am a concerned mother.

7. Because lying, cheating, and stealing are what we hate the Bush gang for?
Look, you want the good guys to win because they're good, not just because they're your guys.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

8. I have to agree with you Plaid Adder. Salazar is a good guy and
he will listen to you even if you're not one of his constituents anyway! I know several people that worked on his campaign and believe me he cares!

Let's not stoop to this level guys!

10. Good for you.
I distrust those who say we should cheat to win. They're unreliable allies.

Sorry in-cog-nito, but you're wrong on this.

16. Sorry to have miscast your gender.
I understand the point you are making. I also understand incognito's point. I think people are intelligent enough to know that they can find cities and zip codes for those Senators for whom feedback from their own state's constituents are critical, and out of state ones are easily dismissed.
Honesty is USUALLY the best policy. There are no absolutes.

14. Plaid is a well-known DU'er
who knows what she's talking about. If we lie about who we are we are no better than those who stole campaigns.
And Salazar is a name being thrown around for higher offices. He has a future in politics and he seems like a nice person (from people that have met him). Don't lie about who you are-just tell them you are a very concerned citizen. His office will still listen-compared to my Republican senators who are *bots.

19. my first response was to call Feingold's office
even though I am a former Wisconsinite who helped elect the underdog to the US Senate and even though I am constantly getting mail from Senator Feingold asking "how much do you and I agree?" I distinctly got the impression from the staffer that "you should call your own Senators"

Right, like that is going to do any good at all. Sure, I bet if Brownback and Roberts got 1000 phone calls that they will vote against him.

21. I'd prefer to call Feingold's office myself.
I was born in Wisconsin and he'd listen to me more than my own senators would(Talent and Bond).
But there's no point in lying about where we are from.

17. Bourgeois morality?
Are you kidding.

Tell the truth, if you are not a constituent, tell them that. I do not want to be accused of not playing the game by the rules, thank you very much.

15. Don't lie
It's stupid, unecessary and wrong. Plus it makes the staffers mad.

18. I've been getting decent reactions when speaking
with out of state Senators. This is uneccessary, I'm not doing it.

Just phone them and say that Senator Salazar works not only for the people of Colorado but for the the people of the nation as well.

It's important to play this one by the book, lying is not the answer here.
