Which repub candidate would you most like to see lose?

I mean if you could choose one, and wave your wand. Note: please try not to have the race in your own state be the sole determination of your answer. Base it on voting records, etc. And don't base your answer on those repubs you already THINK will lose. Who do you dislike most and most want to see removed? I'm just curious.

Personally, I'll go with Santorum.

2. I second, Santorum.
Seeing DeWine go down would be a close second. I'm not from Ohio, but my husband is and his family still live there.

3. Santorum, absolutely
Even tho he's in my own state, and he probably will lose, he's still my choice. The Rapture Right rethugs that get their asses whupped, the better.

Allen in VA is a close second.

39. Surprisingly, yes. Even though I think the Dem opponent is weak.
Harry Mitchell is pretty conservative, but I suppose he'd have to be to even have a remote chance in this district.

But anyone, ANYONE is better than JD.

If Lucifer himself were running against JD I'd have to think about it long and hard.....

6. Marilyn Musgrave. Hands down
And not just because of the gay thing. She started out on the school board at Fort Morgan and was a RW holy terror there - banning books, challenging evolution. Then she went on the the legislature and got worse. Now she's in Congress and no one hears from her, except when she's got another slander against gays. Why they would elect her is impossible to understand.

20. Tough call
I've said Sanctimonious for years, but he's been out of the race for so long he's been rendered irrelevant.

Obviously, I want Chafee to lose as it's my state......

But I'd have to go with George Allen. My faith in humanity and the state of Virginia would be restored.

In the house, Marylin Musgrave. A total wingnut. She needs to go.

23. my congressman Joe Barton-responsible for many deaths and illness
http://www.blueskiesalliance.org/DallasDirtyAir-StuffingSmokeyJoeBartonsPockets.htm
http://www.blueskiesalliance.org/ArticlesAndResources/FactSheetReportStuffingSmokeyJoesPocketsNovember2003.pdf
Fact Sheet
Congressman Joe Barton (R-Ellis County), also known as Smokey Joe Barton, has been under fire in the press
and by environmentalists for inserting controversial riders in the Energy Bill. The bill is expected to cost upward of
$20 billion over the next 10 years, strapping our children with the debt and damaging the environment.
Tucked away in the Energy Bill are controversial provisions which weaken both human health and environmental
protections. The bill has been called the worst environmental bill in the history of this country by
environmentalists who cite provisions including rollbacks to clean air protections, weakening of water standards,
giving incentives to burn waste in cement kilns, increasing drilling in sensitive areas, and handing get out of jail
free cards to polluters.
When asked about the bill and the possibility of Smokey Joe Barton’s assention to the powerful chairmanship as
the ranking member on the House Energy and Commerce committee Frank O’Donnell with the clean air advocacy
organization Clean Air Trust was quoted as saying that Barton’s "…the best chairman that the fossil fuel energy
industry could buy. He would definitely be the favorite of pollutersi."
So this report responds to the question “How much did large polluters stuff into Smokey Joe’s pockets in
exchange for $20 billion? What does access to Smokey Joe Barton cost?”
Key Findings
• Barton received over $700,000 from industries which would benefit from delaying and extending clean air
deadlines. These companies received legislative language hidden in the energy bill which would dramatically
undermine the Clean Air Act.
• Barton received over $45,000 from the cement industry. The cement industry received a subsidy in the
energy bill to burn almost any type of fuel source including toxic waste and carpet.
• Barton received $3,500 from the Kansas based energy company Westar. Westar received legislative
language which was included in the first draft of the energy bill but was pulled once the company collapsed.
• Barton received over $800,000 from sources which are large emitters of CO2. These sources will have no
mandate to reduce emissions of greenhouse gas emission.
• Barton received over $19,000 from the automotive industry. The automotive industry was exempted from
raising fuel efficiency and was given a $2.1 billion to develop hydrogen-fueled automotive technology.
• Barton received over $33,000 from Ellis County industrial sources. Ellis County industrial sources received
legislative language in the energy bill which would delay clean air deadlines for Dallas/Fort Worth.
• Barton received over $10,000 from Enron. Enron received legislative language which is now part of the
energy bill pending before Congress.
• Barton received over $100,000 from companies which make the gasoline additive MTBE. These companies
received legislative language which would give them exemption from liability for the cost of clean-up.
• Barton received over $800,000 from companies who would benefit from the weakening of the New Source
Review program. These companies received proposed legislative language in the form of the Clear Skies
Initative which would legalize NSR changes.
• Congressman Joe Barton received over $800,000 from industries or lobbying organizations who benefit most
from his policies. There is a notable and coincidental parallel between the contributions given to
Congressman Barton and the policies Congressman Barton authors.

...Santorum is expected to be decisively voted out but Allen is still very much in it (probably even still the slight favorite). It would be an important step towards a possible Senate majority to take his scalp. Talent's also, for the same reason.

Of those who really might lose, George Allen. Santorum sounds revolting, too,
