WTF? NY Post Endorses Hillary (The Sky Is Falling, The Sky Is Falling)
More on this here.

The GOP has to be scratching its heads. Democrats doing well in places like Wyoming and Idaho. Republicans switching parties in Kansas. An outspoken Democratic mayor in Salt Lake City. The citizenry of South Dakota trying to reverse a restrictive abortion ruling.

The people are speaking out.

1. They knew Murdoch did a fundraiser for Hillary some time ago
I'm sure they're not scratching heads much about this.

It's that other stuff that's gnawing at them.

2. She and Murdoch have become quite buddy-buddy in recent years
and I understand why. Her husband did so much to make corporate media cosolidation possible.

3. The Post owned by Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch is a Hillary fundraiser.
And here's why, from the editorial. They like her because she's not a progressive Democart but a hawkish centrist >

"Think of her as Sen. Pothole Redux (apologies to Alfonse D'Amato).

Meanwhile, her positions on numerous issues - particularly involving national security - have been much closer to the political center than we would have expected. "

4. Meh, they go with the winner
Like the Herald backing Teddy, there's no benefit to endorsing someone who has zero chance.

10. If they were conservative true believers
they'd endorse the republican even if he was polling 5%, like the guy in Connecticut.

it's easy to endorse a favorite. it's harder to stick to your principles when they are unpopular.

12. true, but
for a paper like the NY Post (or the Boston Herald or Washington Times), doesn't it show a flip-floppiness to be so staunchly conservative, and show such contempt for Hillary, and then to endorse her anyway?

5. They are likely going with the winner all the pollls indicate she is
crusing towards a massive victory in the 65-70 percent range.

6. What else could they do? Spencer is a complete joke even a rightwing rag can get...
...and they know Hillary isn't nearly as "left" as they get off on pretending she is.

7. Only because the Republican, John Spencer, is such a cipher. She's
basically running unopposed.
