Somebody please tell Randi |
|
that Byrd is caving to the Religion Industry. It's not nearly as convoluted as she's making it out to be.
He's been inundated with calls and e-mails and letters from Religion Industry freaks. They ran ads twice an hour on radio stations in WV demanding that Byrd "vote with West Virginians, and not Ted Kennedy."
I'd e-mail her, but I don't know the addy. Phones are jammed.

One of the "private security firms" (read: mercenaries) that may have been involved at Abu Ghraib.
She read General Karpinski's account and she's being sued for spreading a libel or for slander in her own right.
It's a cheap old ploy of the right to try to stifle dissent.

8. I left a message for her that Moveon.org was the single |
|
largest contributer to Byrd, and she would do well to mention that.
1 Moveon.org $88,615

You did a great job of explaining what is happening in West Virginia and the religious wacko's. Very good job. Just sent an email to Sen. Byrd to reconsider his vote. I am so glad that you got through to Randi to explain.

16. You're right. They are pretty prominant here, unfortunately. |
|
They prey on impoverished areas, like ours. I haven't heard those ads, though.
We need to expose those non-prof fundies that are pushing politics here. Seriously.

Novak actually reported this, I got it from the Montana Kerry Group:
"This is why Red State Democratic Senators are hesitating about Alito."
Then the Novak piece, including this info in bold:
That has opened the door for conservatives to turn the Alito confirmation into a political asset in the 2006 elections. Two unnamed donors have contributed $100,000 for current TV ads in the Dakotas to influence Democrats Kent Conrad and Tim Johnson. These same contributors, who spent $4.5 million in the 2004 election cycle, have privately committed $5 million against the re-election of red state Democrats who actually vote against Alito.
