New Repug Dirty Trick! Calling Dems and pretending it's a Survey where |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 01:27 PM by KoKo01
they ask which of two candidates you are voting for. They give the Dem and the Repug...and if you say you are voting for the Dem they then give a 30 second speech by the Repug Candidate telling you why you should vote for them, offering to send information.
This is NEW isn't it? It's not a "Push Poll" this pretends to be a Survey where the caller says: "This is a Survey which will only take a few seconds of your time"....then goes on to ask if you are voting Democrat or Republican and if you say Dem they give two candidates and you get the Repug candidate giving you his message by the candidate.
In this case it was Repug Wacko Racist Vernon Robinson here in NC.
Anyone else have this happen? Calling Democrats to do this?

2. Make sure to call Vermin's opponent and let him/her know |
|
I can't remember who's running against Robinson, but I remember reading about Vermin all too well.

5. I just shot a note off to Brad Miller to alert him! |
|
This is really low and dirty. But then Robinson is low and dirty and bankrolled.

6. Push Polls I've had call me are asking lots of questions about who |
|
you are going to vote for and when you say one or the other they then give you dirty information about the candidate you are voting for. They usually ask: "Do you know that your candidate supports abortion, flag burning..yadda, yadda.
This was different in that when you said "Democrat" and "Brad Miller" that Vernon Robinson's VOICE comes on with his Campaign Speech saying that he will stop illegals, not allow baby killing and the rest of his crap.
That was the difference. I've never gotten any call like that before.

it sounds like a push poll that admits it's a push poll, maybe in order to be legal.

4. It is just aggressive, repulsive phone banking |
|
Usually when someone tells you they are not voting for your guy, you usually just say thank you for your time and politely end the call. I am sure that once they start into their sales pitch that most of those who had already decided just hang up.
I wouldn't think this tactic is going to change anyone vote who has indicated they are leaning one way already.

fake survey. It's something new. Vernon Robinson's voice comes on with his whole campaign lies and says he will be happy to send you information.
