why does the RW think the military is dumb?

The RW has stated a tempest in a teapot about something that Kerry said (about 30 sec) in a speech to young people in CA yesterday. Of course, they have little else left, so we can understand why they did that.

Here is what Kerry said:

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

(of course, we have no idea of what he said before and after, but this is not the issue).

Note that Kerry does not say military here. For most people listening to the speech, it was obvious who he was talking about, the person who is stuck in Iraq and who is responsible for that: Bush.

So, the question is: why does the RW think the military is dumb?

1. This is there talking point for today...

and threating their callers about voting for dems. I heard Laura Ingram, Bill Bennett and Rush discussing this and their callers are calling in to tell why they or their family members joined,how angry they are, and how smart they are now they are calling off their resumes.DESPERATION!

2. B/c the RNC thinks the American people are dumb

In the RNC's eyes, anybody not in power is too dumb and therefore worth exploiting. It's not that they think just the military is dumb, they think their entire base is dumb (witness the attitude toward religious conservatives and Log Cabin Republicans.)

The leadership model of the RNC is such that anybody who follows is by definition dumb, including members of the military who vote Republican.
